I find it cool that Phaser's gun mode sorta looks like Swerve's My First Blaster.

 

Yup, not just the orange cap, but that blue circle detail as well. Nice job Takara!

 

Huh, that deep red color is actually tempting me. It certainly makes Hasbro's version look cheap (IMO).

Now, we needs Tailgate pics before I make the final judgement...

 

I have to appreciate the little touches like that especially since Takara doesn't import the IDW comics.

 

The dark red looks a little... drab.

I need this too despite having Hasbro Swerve but Phaser looks so sweet .

Dont know about Tailgate,didnt bother picking him before. Just waiting to see pics and if I dont like him Ill give him away.

 

I was happy with the Hasbro version.....   Gonna have to get this one now too.  

 

I also liked the additional white on the legs to better match the old g-1 toy. I wish TT would release closer to Hasbro, then I could skip the Hasbro release. I'm always happier with what TT does.

 

I like the Hasbro Swerve better, but I like Phaser more than Flanker.

 

I know this is super nitpicky, but since it's Takara, I really wish they had painted Swerve's head a lighter color of red to match the original toy...
The rest of it is too similar to the US one for me, so I guess I'll pass...

 

Not bad. I like the darker red on this as well as the all white shins and the Flanker figure looks better in white...but it's not so mind blowingly better than the US version for me to pay for the import. I'll save the money and import the Takara Arcee instead.

 

I'm happy with the Hasbro one, The darker red is more toy accurate, but, somehow looks too dull on the newer larger Legends figure. The larger white on the legs is more toy accurate too, but not overly important to me.

But both versions lack white on his nether region....which I thought TT would have done.

 

I prefer this to Hasbro's version. The dark red and larger white sections on the legs look great.

You could just swap the head from the US version on to this one, and you'd have a brighter red head.
