This is an absolute BAD ASS picture of him. I think I read this whole thread now. Around mid April I had read to page 52 or so then I just got caught up with the rest today. I did have APS-01U pre ordered at bbts but everything costs so much now that orders are coming to close to 400 without paying 270 for figures that I decided to hold off. But I.may just re consider. I can't decide between my first Hot Toy figure (Iron man mark 43) and this. I have a credit of 150 for a qc ridden Apollyon plus I DO have the money for whatever but cost of being a collector has risen sky high compared to even 2/3 years ago I'm not sure where my priority in collecting even lies now that I have to draw a line.

    Sigh*

I finally swapped jetwings with the Dark Jetwing Optimus, gave him the new slip on metal smokestacks from Uncle Billy's, got him up on my first trilogy shelf, and gave Bee the Cube. I think it looks amazing.

And I gave the 01U Jetwing to Hasbro Amazon Optimus, and now he looks a little cooler too.

Here are the dudes I chose to represent my first trilogy shelf. And where I could put in a premium figure, I did. There's the 07 Premium Series Jazz and Ratchet that I still have up there, there's last year's Movie Advanced line Battle Blades BB, and The Wreckers are a little more detailed cause I put the Reprolabels sets on them, and also gave them those Takara mechtech exclusive weapons. That Jetfire is the Takara 2 pack version that came with the 2nd Buster Optimus and it has pretty sweet paint on it too. I think all I really want for premium paint Autobots that they haven't done yet is Leader Class Ironhide. I hope the APS line does him next.

Thanks! Yeah it might be my new favorite robot mode Optimus. Like some people have said in this thread, once you have it in hand the lack of chrome or pinstripes doesn't even matter, the extra paint on the arms and legs kinda take this Optimus mold to a whole new level.

So is anyone able to get the Jetwing guns locked into their ports yet have his arms staying in a normal position like they show on the packaging? I don't know if they Photoshopped it, but it seems impossible as there isn't enough room to do so.

I don't think it's possible. I tried it on mine when I first got it out of the package, and the guns stored on the ports made his arms tilt forward at the "shoulder" joint. I haven't seen it done on any of the video reviews, either.

Thanks, it's a shame as it looks really cool but obviously isn't possible.

I'm really close to buying this; it looks so damn good!

And great movie shelf, spaceman! Collecting all the movie toys was my original goal when I started collecting. But since there are still characters (primarily Decepticons) that haven't gotten better figures since 2007, and because the movie toys overall have decreased in complexity, I've gradually waned away from that goal.

Hopefully one day either Hasbro or 3Ps will improve the figures that need it most, so it's possible to at least have a definitive TF2007 display. I'd be happy with that, since the first movie was arguably the best

Anyone get their allspark from BBTS yet? I got the same email as Sentinel when I emailed them over the weekend. Said things processed last Tuesday, I would think someone would have gotten one by now.

My sentiments exactly. The 07 movie got me back into collecting but I've since sold off my entire movie collection aside from HA Barricade, HA Bee, and BB Bee. My original RotF Prime was sold to upgrade to Amazon Jetwing and that was sold to help with APS-01U. Everything else was used to fund rebooted MPs which was great for both space and budgeting.

That said, my standards for figures has become absurdly high. If it isn't as screen accurate as MP-10 or APS-01U I don't have an interest. It kind of sucks for releases that I've missed (Movie MP Starscream comes to mind), but it is also frustrating when for one reason or another HasTak doesn't even bother. Bee and Optimus have been retooled and remolded to death but we can't get a single premium release of Sentinel or Megatron? Where is my leaser class Blackout? Then we get things like Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet, and Barricade having amazing figures that don't scale well.

Thanks y'all! Yeah once the AOE figure pics first came out, I kinda felt relieved of continuing to build a movie shelf, so I just kept it a first trilogy shelf. But it was awesome that they gave us the premium Battle Blades Bee, the blue DOTM Jolt mold, and I guess the Dino figure is decent enough.

I'm pretty sure that voyager Ratchet and deluxe Jazz scale almost perfect with everybody else once you throw Battle Blades Bee in the mix. I know Ironhide is a little big, so I have his knees super bent, and he looks alright next to
Optimus after that, and it's a lot better than any of the tiny voyager Ironhides. And the '07 Barricade is also pretty good scalewise, IMO the other Barricades looked far worse.

But yeah, it's super lame that we never got a leader class Blackout.

I was actually referring to HA Jazz and the HftD deluxe Ratchet, my fault for not specifying that. I never liked the 07 molds for either character even with the premium paint releases. Likewise Barricade's 07 deluxe was pretty good but I was spoiled by the HA release. Agree with the DotM version being worse but then again most new molds of existing characters from DotM were bad...

It is frustrating. I now seem to have movie figures in about four different relatively unreconcilable scales. I've got my leader/HA scale, I've got my DMK/old deluxe scale (including my custom BB Bumblebees for the 60's and 70's cars), my tiny AOE deluxes and voyagers (most of which are custom painted very nicely) and then I have my AOE leader Prime and upscaled KO Hound, BB and Drift (which scale very nicely with that leader Prime).

Of course each scale holds the definitive version of some character I really like. It's a mess. (on the plus side KO BB and Drift do scale acceptably with my HA stuff)

Then I have my MP stuff which doesn't scale with any of the other scales. It's really aggravating.

Is TFSource generally this slow? I usually buy from BBTS so this is a first time experience for me. APS-01u is still listed as a preorder item.

I'd say the original trilogy leader classes and the 07-RotF voyager and deluxe figures are close enough to MP scale. MP-10 is only slightly shorter than any variation of the RotF Prime mold while MP-11 and leader Starscream are the same size. Likewise the Hasui MP cars are somewhere between 07-RotF deluxe and voyager size.

One thing I don't get is why haven't any of the 3rd parties addressed the jacked up scale for the movieverse? These gues can swarm on 2 Devastators, 3 Predakings, and 4 sets of Dinobots, all of which with overlapping release schedules, but nobody can bother with any of the movie figures?

I mean honestly how many people posting in this thread haven't picked up a U.F.O, FWI, or Cubex upgrade for their Prime? Give me a 3rd party Megatron or Blackout and sell it as a RotF Prime accessory for all I care, I'll gladly buy "Forest Target Pillars 1 & 2".

Well it can't help that when any movie-related project gets teased in the 3rd party forum it gets swarmed with complaints and wild-eyed disbelief that anyone would work on "movie trash."
