I agree...I just had a vision of a DOTM Megatron made by Prime1 Studios. . I got dizzy. But yeah, better paint job.

 

And bought. Looks fantastic! Even right down to the blue pinstriping around the flames! Optimus is gonna look great squaring off against DOTM Megatron! Hope an energon axe is included for Megs head splitting action.   Wonder what the Bambaland exclusive accessory will be.

How about either his axe splitting Megatron's head in half as a one piece accessory OR even better would be Megatron's head split so his axe can fit inside it like he chopped it in half!

What's with the odd placement of the truck front pieces? Are those articulated (I hope)? I'll have to go look at some stills, but I don't remember ever seeing them sit on top of the window pains as these are doing at the edges.

Otherwise it looks fantastic. But that detail will drive me nuts. I really hope they're articulated and that's just an unfortunate pose.

 

To be fair, BBTS doesn't have the Bambaland exclusive accessory (Megatron had his hooded cape/cloak) plus worldwide courier shipping.

That would be sweet. Doubt the bonus accessory will be that big though. Maybe Optimus will include an Allspark cube or something instead (I think Megatron already comes with the Matrix of Leadership for some odd reason).

Good eye. It looks like those abdomen pieces may be articulated after all, since they look a bit lopsided/uneven, suggesting that they can be movable. Guess we'll have to see more photos for clarification.

 

They pretty much have to be. I noticed they're lop sided as well.

If they're actually fixed like that it might be a deal breaker. In every other way he's absolutely gorgeous. I just looked and I can't even find a picture where they aren't always completely under the windows.

I look forward to clarification. As long as they move, this is a definite buy!

On point; so you only get the cloak if you buy from bambaland? I pre ordered through Bigbadtoystore so I guess I'll have to custom one I guess. O can't wait for Prime and Megs as a pair

 

I'm pretty.sure they are articulated considering they have something like 70+ points of articulation each (give or take) so I'm betting they are. Plus its part of his design to emulate personality with those moving around.

When do they plan on doing pre orders? Anyone know I'd like to be there on the day to make sure to secure one.

 

Looks like the delay in the announcement was well worth the wait. He looks incredible so far.

Also the weapons that are included with Optimus were leaked months ago.

I'm not sure if they decided to include more from the time of this leaked image but back then all that was being included was his two swords, gun and his brass spike knuckles.

Bit bummed out if we don't get his axe but if the leak picture if anything to go by it won't be included.

 

Official announcement will be this coming week if I had to guess. I'll post up a new thread with all the PO information and pictures if no one else does it when the announcement goes up.

Their PO last couple of weeks so you shouldn't worry about having to catch it.

 

Unfortunately true.

I'd planned on getting Megatron through BBTS so I could cancel once I have BB in hand if I didn't love him enough to justify the cost (these things aren't cheap). But I couldn't do Megatron without the hood, so he's ordered through Bambaland as well.

 

It looks good - really good but so does my Revoltech Optimus. Honestly, the RotF Leader Class is just so well done that we I don't see the need to spend money on any Optimus replicas plus, I don't care much for non-transforming figures.
