That's fine but that's your opinion - I would have preferred a re-moulded symbol as I say, but it's no big deal by any means. I'm assuming the flip panel is still there but just blank plastic so a sticker can be adhered and then hidden during transformation.

I'm in the camp that would prefer a completely new mould for Goldbug. The differences are just too much - the arms and legs are nothing alike if you go by the animation model.

I do see what you mean. It would be a surprise if they have re-done the face.

Yeah I mentioned in the other thread how it looked different. Shame there aren't new photos of the faces or the jetpack in these official photos.

Had to buy this guy just for the jetpack, although technically I'm of the generation where I could have bought Generation 2, if they'd reached shops in Portugal. Fortunately for me the shops were still lined with toys from the early 80s even in the early 90s

So, so far MP-10B, MP-12G, MP-13B and now MP-21G are the only main retail releases which have an extra letter designation (source: back of the MP official guide)

The original face looks really good in silver. Nice to see he still comes with his gun. It looks like maybe he'll have the G2 symbol on one side of his chestplate, and the G1 symbol on the other side? I don't see any molding on the side with the G2 symbol. Anyway, this guy is looking pretty spiffy!

 

He looks really good, I like the gun in black. Someone posted that both symbols will be stickers, so most likely the chestplate will be blank on both sides.

 

This will be the first repaint of an official release i'm going to get asap when released..

Ah, so with a larger picture of the faces, it seems I was wrong, the second face isn't a remoulded "Oh crap" face, but it is indeed just the smiley face, which often looks like a grimace because of the dodgy moulding around the mouth on some of them:



His face does look mighty fine in silver, though:

 

It's definitely a different face to the smiling one.

The shade of gold looks shiny but not chrome, think Takara Tomy's release of Animated Bumblebee or United where they used a nice metallic paint. This will be beautiful to look at.

 

The Rocketpack is just a waste to be honest.

I wish they included another exosuit.

It would have justified the cost. :/

Looks beautiful and I love having the option of swappable faces! G2 Bumblebee was my first Bumblebee so I eagerly look forward to owning this.
