They're still rumors (each may have different insiders that are working on different bots), although I agree with you, at this point this is getting ridiculous.

But that doesn't mean all these bots are mutually exclusive. Takara is known to design several MPs at the same time in parallel, then decide the release/MP-numbering order based on which figure is ready, market demand, legal hoops to jump though, etc.

Whilst I agree the endless rumour cycle is very repetitive and tiresome, this isn't the first time we have heard Tracks rumoured, followed by the van bros. Might pan out, might not, but at least we're seeing something consistent now.

Anyway, the actual Taobao listings have MP-25 as Tracks, but then they have red Tracks as MP-26 (not MP-25B or any other letter) and Ironhide as MP-27. So, the order of characters is right, but the numbers are different to the link in the OP here.

Anyway, I would personally be thrilled if it's Tracks, and especially so if it's followed shortly by Ironhide. I love the Corvette mode, and think a nice splash of royal blue will look great.

I don't think it will be officially announced until February at the earliest though, and maybe even March to coincide with Exhaust and Star Saber, but again, I guess we will see.

 

By the same token, a lot of these rumors are also pretty safe bets. They are also characters that seem to show up on the majority of fans' wish lists so is it any surprise that they are featured in these rumors. Jazz, Tracks, Ironhide/Ratchet, Megatron and Galvatron are all highly coveted figures. As far as predictions go, is it any surprise that these characters keep showing up?

Stirring up a storm without a shred of evidence is speculation at best; not a legitimate news story. It's too easy to say "from a reliable source" without providing proof. If you're right you get to brag about your position as in insider, whereas if you're wrong all will be forgotten and forgiven within a week or two.

Oh, completely agree with all of that, although ironically I personally think that Megatron is anything but a safe bet, considering that TT have shown no impetus to make a version 2 whatsoever. As you say, it's more a question of what people want, as opposed to what they think will happen.

My point was more than at least now some of the rumours are starting to tally up, even if they don't lead to anything, rather than being completely random. At this stage, if MP-25 is Tracks, then I won't be too surprised, but in the same way if it's someone else I won't be either.  

 

Rumor is it comes out in March, July, October, and 2024.

 

Wonder Fest is coming up in Feb - for the love of god TT, put us out of our misery.

Now, if MP-25 is announced in March, then I won't be surprised. Maybe released in September...

The dates are farcical and multiple, much like the glut of upcoming MP25 rumors. I for one really hope they don't use any clear plastic on Ironmegaratchetjazztracks, If they do there's no way I'm paying the rumored $50, $70, $80 and $125 he is going to cost.

 

We know from what they have said that there are a multiple Masterpieces in the pipeline at various stages of completion so it wouldn't surprise me at all if all the bots we've seen rumored are closer in the pipeline and for one reason or another they keep having to flip the release order...or that people working on Tracks talk to one friend who leaks it while another guy working on Megatron talks to his totally different friend who leaks THAT info until we have 6-7 possibilities for what really IS MP-25

 

I agree with Dragonclaw.

On a more cynical angle: If I were Takara and Hasbro I'd leak that we had EVERY popular character in the pipeline, in hopes of keeping third party companies from sweeping up what little of their sales they might on those units. I bet the huge success of Quakewave and subsequent price hikes really caught their attention.

 

Maybe they're doing away with the sub-designations in the numbering and just going incremental - no more MP-##G or MP-##B so that everyone can finally STFU about Exhaust not being sub-numbered.
