We've received word through a Hasbro source we'll leave anonymous about the upcoming "Transformers 2 Pack" that's been seen listed at Target. For awhile it's been thought it would be a Beast Wars 10th Anniversary set, but that's not the case!
The case will actually be a G1 styled Optimus Prime packaged in his truck mode (with more articulation) versus a green tank Megatron figure. They are deluxe sized. Packaged along with it will be a DVD titled "Battle through the Ages", presumably stating the history of the Transformers.
The re-release of the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime figure is apparently repainted (no battle damage) with long stacks. It comes with a talking pallet with various phrases, along with the 1986 Transformers movie packaged with it.
It looks to be a good (and expensive) upcoming Fall!
EDIT: The Toys'R'Us listing for the 2 pack specifically states Primal and Megatron, thus we are assuming this means this item is Target bound, or has not been listed.
| WEDNESDAY EDIT: I woke up to a message from my regular Hasbro source. Unfortunately, there will be no long stacks on this 20th Prime either. Quote: |

I can't believe they are re-releasing Prime with long stacks after I paid $20 for repros, I wonder how much this new 20th Prime is going to sell for. Dark_Convoy on: [Twitter] [Last FM] [Facebook] [MySpace] Check out my original music on Last FM! |

A $20 difference between the Target and TRU release of the Prime/Megs. I think Ill go with the Target version. I was hoping that the TRU would be BW reborn stuff. I like the new 20th Prime, sounds good, now I dont regret selling mine. G1 Shockwave parts wanted. :) My collection, newer pics in mid of first page |

News Credits: 1 | I'm not sure if it's the same one at Target vs. Toys'R'Us. But one of the upcoming two packs is apparently this G1 Prime v. G2 Megs in deluxe format. I'm personally assuming Robot Masters Prime vs. a G2 Hero Megatron repainted. Quote: |

The bears are being retired.
