Hi, Blades.

 

Looks pissed off enough to be Blades, anyone else notice the red helicopter with white accents?

 

Pretty interesting, though I'd love to see the full evolution of the character rather than final sketch, final resin prototype, final product -- which don't really tell me anything new. Surely they must have played around with more ideas than "Vortex in Aerialbot colors"?

 

The head in the picture is clearly a Seeker's head.

Maybe it's the design for Leader Thundercracker, despite being on these instructions.

It's as if Hasbro is trying to tell us that Protectobots are coming, yet they're trying to be discreet and blatant about it at the same time.

 

That looks more like... block coloring? Highlighting colors? Contrast colors?

Too much block red for it to be an actual color scheme.

I need it to be Toy Fair already.

 

Close but not quite - got them next to me and the jawline and the bits on the side are different.

Might be Leader Thundercracker as someone suggested. Though I did look at the Dreamwave Blades art when I posted this and I see a lot of Blades in there.

 

That is definitely blades! Head's exactly the same!

 

Leader Thundercracker's head is significantly more rounded than that.

Another point nobody's made: The red and white colour deco layout designs are on a design that looks as close to final as possible... except the arms are flat on their edges, not housed in missile pods. It's possible that it's a retooled component to make the tooling more like a rescue helicopter instead of a combat helicopter.

 

I would have preferred Blades to have larger eyes, but that's unmistakably him.

 

Go look at Blades, it's not. It's very clearly derived from the FoC Seeker head.

 

Your definition of "exactly the same" appears to be very different from mine.



Whereas this...

 

Just looks like a generic G1 blockhead to me, not anyone in particular.

EDIT: Though yeah, totally NOT Blades.

 

Oh yeah their is no doubt that Alpha Bravo will be used as Blades, I wouldn't be surprise if he will be used for Vortex as well.

 

Whatever it is..he'll get to be reused as someone else.
