Me, too. It seems easier than trying to make a P-38 that turns into the blocky cartoon Megatron, also. But it won't happen. Not in this line, anyway. Been hoping one of the third parties would make something like, but so far the offerings have been abysmal.

I would bet that Takara is, not by much. But that's really comes down to opinion. But my gut feeling is that you will be surprised that it is. Just to have to wait and see?
Agreed. I've nothing against TakTom and they've done some GREAT design work in with the bad. Truth be told, we, the G1 fanbase are the real winners from all this competition and thanks to official product and 3P combined, I'll be kicking off 2015 with stellar toon accurate versions of my three most wanted bots in MP form I thought I'd be waiting years for, namely: Skywarp, Swoop and V2 Megatron. After getting used to the idea of seeing out the year with nothing more than Bee and Magnus - two of my least favourite in the franchise I've absolutely no interest in - it's all still a bit of a shock! (Hell, if we get Cliffjumper & Reflector any time soon, my most wanted list is done!) So yeah. Having a little fun here at poor ol' MP05's expense, but .... It really is a case of wait and see as you said, Megs2003 - and may the best man (well, Megs) win! .
Let's hope MP26 is blaster, MP27 the cassettes, MP28 scourge and maybe 28, 29 Mirage and sunstreaker.

Yeah, I'm still glad I've got the Xtransbots Megatron on preorder. TT with a lot of their mis-steps lately--- I mean, it'd be a major facepalm, but I could see them turning him into a tank just to sell in the US. Also, um Galvatron?? kthx
I'm not sure this rumor really has any more credence than it has had at any point since it started. It is one of those that would make sense but that doesn't make it true. I will wait and see, and I also agree they are going to have to really impress to beat that Apollyon.
This Masterpiece line.....is G1....only. No damn tanks....im sick of the lame boring trend of almost every damn con being a car, tank or jet anymore with no further variety. MP is just that line, not a line full of lame tanks because God forbid it turn into a firearm....may scare the soccer Moms, oh no, can't have that, they may start a petition.... And we are talking about Takara, they don't care about things turning into guns, they have no such panic induced hysteria there. Besides, if you want a close to MP sized G1 based Tankitron....wait for the Generations Leader class....he'll fix you right up. Are you collecting the same post MP-10 I'm collecting? Because....these things are awesome, and Magnus is looking killer.... If some damn 3P company can do it, you bet your ass the original creators of the robots we know can. Again.... Are you collecting the same line i am? Takara can and will, if everything since MP-10 doesn't show you how they've stepped it up....I'm not sure what will. 30 years and we get an all in one Magnus....never before have we, unless you count that thing in the Titanium line....which, was nowhere near G1 cartoon accurate, nor is it close to a functioning car carrier. Plus, it has a white hollow box on it's back....Butt flap be damned, MP-22 is almost perfect.
We'll have to agree to disagree that any official Megs is automatically 100% guaranteed to trump Apollyon aesthetically, or that Magnus is 'almost perfect' in that regard. Agree that it's amazing the feat they pulled off technically and that this wouldn't have been possible in the past, but visually? The forearms to me look ridiculously wide, the legs overly blocky and the proportions as a whole just look completely off. Apollyon looks like Sunbow Megatron just walked through the screen. No idea on QC or build quality, however, as I obviously don't own either. I think, for me, there's no real hard & fast rule one way or another. The build quality and overall robust feel of my Quakewave surpasses the flaky chrome/yellow trim and lightweight feel of my MP13. My official TT Prowl knocks spots off any 3P car. Point is, it varies from release to release, bot-to-bot, as to who comes out on top. You pays your money, you makes your choice. .
I remember making that for 2003 Megs he's a good guy. You don't want to frame that on the wall it'll be all pixelated.

He looks great, leagues better than MP-05, but I have no doubt TT's 2.0 face, lower legs, feet, and alt mode will be superior.
