Last week, Masterpiece Sunstorm was sighted at Toys"R"Us in the United Kingdom. Typically, Germany isn't far behind - however, this is unusually fast: I found Sunstorm at the local TRU store in Duisburg today!

This one comes in US packaging, with texts in English only and ™ and ® markings after names and logos.

 

Did you get one? I was surprisingly fond of his Hasbro deco - so much so that I broke my rule and bought my first MP Decepticon!

WHAT? I'll have to check our local TRU tomorrow immediately after work! I didn't expect that a official MP figure will ever be released in germany again!

 

  I didn't know we carried those in Germany. I wonder if we'll get TRU Soundwave as well some time.

Well it's nice that Germans are able to pick him at retail.

 

I like that Sunstorm mold and deco, in fact even had him displayed in the master bedroom until last night when I moved him into my display room.

Don't worry about the naysayers, it does look great in person.

 

Why isn't there a TRU in Belgium, and where are the tru's in Germany?
See if i can persuade my parents, to let me drive to there.

 

I still wonder why they put an MP10 redeco on the box when the toy is an MP11 repaint...

I see... 80 EUR? I see they continues the "nice" tradition of simply replacing $ with EUR. Quite a big difference in cost, sadly. I saw you guys in germany have this problem with PC games too.

 

The next TRUs near the Belgian border are in Aachen and Mönchengladbach.

 

I visited our local TRU and came back with no figure! I asked for it and they checked it in their system. Only a few branches across germany and austria got a little number of them. Most branches did not become a single figure. And they won't get any in the future.
That's a bit dissapointing, but they try to get one from another branch for me. I hope they will manage to become one... nevermore, you lucky guy!

 

I didn't buy it... Masterpiece is not part of my collection focus.

 

But you have to consider if you buy it for 80$ in USA via eBay or Toys r Us USA you have to pay the shiping costs + Import Tax.

80$ = 64,23€
shipping cost ~20$ = 16,05€
∑ = 80,28€
Import Tax 19% on that 80,28€ = 15,25€

so this will costs you all including german import tax and shipping
95,53€!

So even replacing $ with € it will be cheaper!

Nice to see that Grimlock MP on Toys r Us germany i think i will buy one missed the sale on Toys R Us USA, and im not willing to pay those exorbitant price on eBay now.

What was the last price on Toys R Us USA for MP Grimlock 60$???

 

Sadly no mp sunstorm in tru ingolstadt (Germany) so far...

But i ordered three mp grimlock online on "happy sunday" last week. -10% for each 3 items order, so 81€ for one mp grimlock is ok;-)

 

yes indeed but 60€ would be a better price, if they would only change the currency symbol 

i bought 1 sunstorm from this guy
including import Tax and shipping for 86,68€ a month ago.... he still got new ones.
