Masterpiece Wheeljack has started showing up at Australian Toys R Us for $99 (significantly more expensive then just importing the Takara version online).

This is just a straight up import of the Takara Wheeljack and not a Hasbro release like Prowl. Previously, Australian TRU also imported the MP03G Ghost Starscream and MP02 Ultra Magnus, again both for significantly more then getting it online.

I guess TRU is smart enough not to wait for a Hasbro release, knowing how they drag their feet on the mp's, nevermind in the US.

Why don't we get good finds like these although the price is pretty hefty!

I'm not as familiar with Austrailian prices so perhaps over there it's a decent price. Still pretty cool to actually find one on a shelf though

Its a pretty terrible price, really.

For comparison, I paid $70 including shipping to import the Amazon Exclusive MP Wheeljack and my local Japanese Hobby Store, that jacks up prices quite a bit themselves, is selling it for $80, expensive but still $20 cheaper then this official import.

On the one hand feel excited that's popped in a store locally so I could go down the street and pick one up.
On the other hand, glad a fellow ozformers members sorted me out weeks ago with the exclusive version wheeljack at $20 less ;)

That price doesn't surprise me. I've been to Australia before and i've got to say, i think they have the most expensive prices for retail Transformers

You know, as much as I complain about New Zealand never getting Masterpiece figures, I get them direct form Japan and significantly cheaper, anyway, so unless they're Hasbro exclusives (or, you know, MP-10. Can't wait for the Japanese reissue next year), Australia and the rest of you guys can keep your overpriced Masterpieces.

Well, it is the size of an older deluxe car. My MP Wheeljack is currently on the shelf next to an 07 Movie Breakaway, who is a repaint of Cybertron Hot Shot and they are the same size.

This $99 price, is that Aussie or US dollars?
