well things don't look terrible... If I may, and I try and say this with all due respect for Barber, but he's doing better. I was listening to shattered cast interview with Barber and it.. really gave me the impression of somebody who cares but maybe tries to hard. I used to think that Barber was old school and Roberts was a new breed of storytellers coming from the ranks of fandom. Most importantly, it seemed to me Roberts really cared for this fiction and was doing interesting things with his characters, namely making Megatron go to the psychiatrist (epic). This stunt in particular was epically funny and still written so well it was perfectly believable. To me that says Roberts was on the same page as us, a fan well beyond his 20's who's seen transformers in all possible variations and multiverses and wants to do something fun and original with them. In comparison reading Barber was like reading old school comics where the bad guys are just the bad guys etc.. Getting to the point. In the recent issues it seems to me Barber is 'inspired' lets say from Roberts and is stepping his game up, he's learning and at least trying. And since he's been with us so long now, I'm inclined to give him some time, and while I recognize this might not be most respectful of praises, I sincerely hope/believe he can do it. Cmon Barber!

Jimmy Pink is a real name that could, and most certainly does somewhere, exist. You seem to be making a big deal out of nothing just so you can make a big deal out of something.

No, they just said some old human allies would be returning this issue at a con, and a lot of us thought that maybe meant Verity.
Pink is a manly color. It is a real name that could exist anywhere. I just... I feel sympathy towards certain names, is all. After all, I had one.

it'll be interesting to see what's happened to him during that time. im gonna guess it was something bad to turn him into this. jimmy was never the kevlar wearing gun shooting badass type in the early days. and even more so to see how verity reacts to the new jimmy. possibly sympathetic considering what she's seen.
I don't think Jimmy's changed into as much of a "badass" as you think; still sounds a lot like Jimmy to me in these pages.
Interesting they have included Jimmy, I'm guessing big part of the next story arc will involved around him as well as Spike/Prowl. I can see why he would be hunting Cybertronians with Spike considering what happen with Hunter and the other events that happen in All Hail Megatron, his views of the Autobots would have surely changed by this time specially if Spike has been telling him his version of events that happen during the Ongoing series. I would guess at some point him and Sideswiple will have some 1 on 1 time together consider it was Sideswipe who at the end decided to turn off Hunters life support. Also having a mini constructicon showing up might be more to it than explaining what happen to them, what makes a mini constructicon a constucticon, is it name only or is there more to it with their relationship to their much larger counterparts, is there something they have that can be turn against the others so the Humans have a more effective means of combating Devastator, if so this may be the reason why Prowl starts the hunt for Spike, some people assuming some sort of personal vendetta but it could be more to it than that. Im looking forward anyway to the next few issues, and I wonder if there will be other loose in tied up, seems like they been combing through earlier issues for loose ends which Im very happy about, I'm sure at this stage Verity will be back soon enough and be interesting what side she is on, one would assume Autobot but if Prowl finds out about the dataslug she has he might start some sort of secret black ops mission to secure it behind the others back.
i think it is more than you think. he's shooting guns and pulling off ambushes...something he didn't do before. and if hes doing a move thats impressing g.i. spike i think he's changed from normal everyday mechanic. i mean if he didn't how would he catch the attention of someone like spike? he's even got an older rougher look. he may sound similar (though i can't see how you can tell with two lines of dialogue and him doing more action in two pages then all of the infiltration/escalation/devastation series) but this is a different jimmy.....
He's making bad word play jokes. That's all the dialogue needed to see he hasn't changed that much. =P Spike also says that he's "learning", so sounds like he's not exactly a profession at all of this. I just really think that despite Jimmy's new-found occupation (which he may have got because of his mechanic skills in the first place), he's not become some completely different guy.

We got Jimmy back.I think this issue will be a special one.Maybe prime leaves to bring Alpha Trion back to cybertron and Prowl and the gang hunt for Spike or Spike seeks revenge from the Autobots now that his father is dead (Who was killed by Galvatron but he lied to Marissa informing her that Prowl did it). I DIDNT knew Mini constructions were sentinet and they alt modes!!
Woo-hoo! Mini Construction! That's the last one isn't it? Ramjet blasted the other two. And Jimmy! That's awesome, good to see him again, and working with Spike? That's quite interesting. I get an Abraham Dante vibe from Blackrock though.
