Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition at Science Center Singapore Friend of mine just linked me to this exhibition starting in November and running all the way until March 2015. Transformers 30th Anniversary Exhibition The exhibition presents a snapshot of the history of Transformers and the scenes and robots of the Transformers movies in stunning life-like depiction. This exhibition will set visitors on an adventure as they embark on a quest to find out more about Transformers and come face to face with the signature 7m high Optimus Prime and Bumblebee! There’s more to it than meets the eye as the exhibition is filled with activities such as the challenging laser maze, Transformer movie screenings, photo opprtunities, dynamic exhibits as well as a hands-on zone which will keep the whole family entertained and occupied! Some highlights include: Formidable Figures The most breathtaking attraction of this exhibition is the 7m tall Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. The two formidable figures stand across each other for fans to admire the delicate craftsmanship that was put into their production. 3D Mapping With spectacular graphics and vibrant effects, this powerful visual projection will let visitors experience the world of Transformers like never before. Other Highlights Zones straight out movie scenes Interactive All Spark Activity Stations for the whole family Transformers Movies: Transformers Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Don't get too excited... sounds like they are just transferring the Macau Exhibition from The Venetian to Singapore. It was ok. If you're a Transformers fan you'll get value out of it... but don't believe hype of the sales pitch. The 7 metre statues don't have 1/2 the detail the statue used at the Premiere had and are quite plastic looking - the Grimlock head is cooler (although was missing its tongue last time I went). The Optimus Prime 3D mapped laser/video show is quite cool. The 3D hologram Optimus Prime is quite cool. The rest of it ... eh... as a fan I appreciated it... but the interactive stuff wasn't great unless you had kids who loved Transformers too (like I do). It was only HK$100 per person in Macau. Hope they don't inflate the prices in Sing... On the plus side you might get some of the limited edition Kidslogic figures I know at least one member in Singapore are after. I'm actually curious to see if they do that as Optimus Prime sold out in Macau and the Venetian specifically said only 2,500 were made... soooo...
