So... why do these look awesome and the in-game Universe designs are lame and generic as hell?

 

Beautiful artwork. I absolutely love how the designs in the game look, even if I'm not totally into the game itself.

So it seems the "Elite" bots (as they're referred to have a completely different aesthetic to the bots you can recruit. Your recruits look like they're taken out of Prime where as these are like Prime/WfC.

 

Switchblade looks cool, Brawl is Brawl I guess, Hound is also cool, though I kind of wish he was fat. Snowcat is amazing as is the Terrorcon combiner. Swindle is the most "eh" though. It's weird how bland most of the recent Swindle designs are. I guess it's because he doesn't really work as a fighter and developers just assume "lol all robots fight". Bleh, I wish he had those eyes and grin from his Animated incarnation instead of his blocky face and expressionless visor.

F#$% yeah, he has been due for a remake for years. hell yeah, now i deffiently have to play the game

Exactly. WHere's Swindle's trademark sleazy grin? He was the only Combaticon with a visible face- and it made sense, he needed to be more "charming" as he wheeled and dealed with clients. Even his third-party toys, Fansproject and the recent Warbotron, gave him a big smile each time.

Brawl is better- it looks more like him, just updated. Hound, another fav of mine, looks good, as does Ratchet. Hope to see more Combaticons.

 

These arts utterly marvelous! Hopefully we're see more characters to come.

 

Wow these designs look nice sharp looking prime desgin close to but combiner bruticus and devastator are combined into one form looks of it, sucks its on pc like to try this game out make toys out this series especially combiner and jets

 

Pretty cool designs, besides their jarring over-simplified faces on their super detailed bodies...

 

Are they ever going to release the game or just continue to release concept art?

Im so glad I have the concept art for Switchblade so I can draw his body properly now. Having only his bust from the "sign up" screen from months ago and his muppet face in game aren't good refs.


Now if only we get art for Rampart...

EDIT: So I don't double post.

Because PC Mustard/Master Race. And doing continuous patches + add on characters for consoles would just be a pain in the ass. Think of TFU like LoL, the game gets constant bug, weapon/bot fixes (like nerfing Shellshock back in the summer) that on consoles it would just be annoying. (I mean srsly. Look how Minecraft is going on the Xbox and PS3. Lots of content missing for the game of digital Legos.)
