It seems that Strongarm's arms are mistransformed a bit. Notice the hinges on the bottom of her arms? It seems to flip over to give her arms a more natural look and not a big hunk of block. Optimus's panels under his arms seem to rotate around at the wheel to get out of the way of the hands which I hope it's the case. Grimlock actually looks nice in both T-Rex and robot mode. I dig how his hands form the sides of the dinobot legs without being flat.

 

Optimus... looks special.

I think the orange car is Drift. Notice that he has shockingly a lot of AOE Drift design elements on him? If that doesn't scream Drift I don't know what does.

Drift and Strongarm are really cool. Like the stylization of the alt modes especially. Grimlock's colors will take some getting used to. Hope Optimus' head pulls up more, because if not, that's an awful looking figure. If it does, could be cool.

 

These look good. Nothing amazing, but nothing I would consider a dissapointment. Strongarm looks pretty accurate to her show design, which is nice. She'll definitely be tempting. Optimus isn't bad, but I don't feel the need to own this design. Drift is kind of a nice surprise. He might be tempting.

Grimlock is the only one that'll be hard to pass-up. Even if he's kinda small. Then again, there's something about this Grimlock's design that I'm really liking. So much so that I'm contemplating getting every version of him. Even the gimmick figures, the inevitable Titan figures, and even the customizable Kreon.

Hopefully we'll get a look at Sideswipe's Deluxe later this week, and maybe some info on that Grimlock prototype shown off in the AoE bonus features.

Man, this series slowly keeps looking better and better.

This. For all we know he can show up sometime later on the show like how Oil Slick showed up as a toy first in the TFA toyline before appearing in Season 3 of TFA.

 

I haven't gotten a good look at the RiD Bumblebee figure yet, just the angles in the pics posted from the display earlier tonight, but it looks to me like Drift could be our Bumblebee retool. If that's the case, it works in this instance. He's the only one of the first four that has even a small chance of coming home with me.

 

So glad the RID toys suck I can buy more Generations stuff now.
The Optimus is interesting though, it seems like every character has a Shockwavey chest design.

 

Drift here is definitely a mold of his own. We got a good look ad Bee's Deluxe, sorry, Warrior figure back durring SDCC (or Botcon, can't remember), and this is definitely not a retool of it.

Maybe not even that long. He might just show up in a later season 1 episode. I doubt that Hasbro would devote a slot in what is looking like one of the first wave if NuRID to a character who isn't going to show up until the next season. Also, It is highly likely that the footage that we have seen from the trailers is only from the first one or two episodes.

 

Almost considered saying I liked Strong Arm until I saw her massive backpack.
