Finally Rhinox gets to make his debut!

And are Optimus and Trion on the dark side of the moon? That's a really subtle joke there.

(BTW where did Jetfire get his R2D2 mate from?)

It's probably safe to assume Jetfire built him.

Sky-Lynx has a bowl full of beer.

And the Autobots fill it for him.

He's truly living the life, isn't he? :p

Ahh....REAL Transformer news. Good timing to!

That crappy trailer to that goofy show was depressing.

I'll take the bright clean art of the RiD cartoon trailer over the dark and ugly scribbles of Llivo's art on this RiD comic any day.

-ZacWilliam, ugh those RiD preview pages are terrible...

...RID's about to make Earth a mythic big deal, isn't it?

Looks that way. However Shockwave already made Earth a bit of a big deal by putting one of his regenesis ores there and he mentored by Jhiaxus. If they are delving into the Nova Prime/Galvatron/Jhiaxus era past, then it might not be a bad retcon.

Yeah, I don't think this is that big a change for IDW when Spotlight: Shockwave exists. I did think it was kind of obvious we were going to be getting something like this when Alpha Trion was said to be looking for a "holy grail," and then the next we hear from him he's on Earth, tho'.

    ^This.

I still cannot understand why them going back and forth to Lilvo's aesthetic. I actually think is almost Pat Lee tier level of bad.

*Click* Oops, guess I hit the Primacy one.
    *Click* Primacy again...
*Goes back to first* Oh... nooooo. Nonononono.

Can Livio not stay in the Primacy box when it comes to art? Literally the best thing about Primacy is the fact that it keeps Livio off the main books. Why are they giving an issue of RID to him? Is he blackmailing people at IDW or what? I'm legitimately concerned how he's still getting work.

Well, that aside, the art is terrible. It's bad even for Livio. On the bright side I like Barber's dialogue with Sky-Lynx here. He's a cool dude. I'm also digging Arcee's callback to the Constructicons and Jetfire's idea of them 'space-diving'. I don't know, I guess where my expectations are right now I'm sort of liking the way RID is going. Let's be honest though, Earth has ALWAYS been a big deal in basically every Transformers series. It's practically a constant with the franchise.

LOL, yeah well the difference with me not supporting that cartoon is that is that you're still going to buy this comic anyway.

    True or not....?

Poor Sky-Lynx, Prime's blowing him off, nobody fills his dish, and IDW won't let him be a combiner level powerhouse. Which combined with the DJD being able to easily slaughter hundreds of Autobots including some of their best fighters makes me wonder how the hell the war was supposed to have lasted millions of years. Sorry off topic.

But yeah, earth does not always need to be the center of everything damnit.

Ooh, I guess this is IDW's super special "awful art" week.

That pic of Metroplex and Trypticon.... fighting (?) is especially something. I mean, the narrative seems to be asking for an epic picture of two giants clashing, but the picture... God. Special mention to the awful dialogue going on between Metroplex and Trypticon is deserved too, though. Livio's not the only one at fault here!

Considering Livio seems to be their go-to guy for special edition covers and stuff, I think the people at IDW live in some weird reverse universe where Livio's art is considered "pretty".

I'll be pirating RiD #34. I'm really enjoying the story in that title, and want to keep following it, but I'm tired of spending money on comics with Ramondelli's godawful artwork. I'm already pirating Primacy.

Only good thing about his work is that it saves me some money on those comics.

    They're wrong.

I'm actually considering doing this myself. I'm sick of buying books that are ruined by awful art. If I do, then I'll probably end up buying two RID #35's to make up for it since, yeah, John and the letterers deserve my cash, but Livio, not do much.

I'm afraid of my buying patterns getting a bit contrived, but shit, I hate Livio...
