It's not pompous. I haven't kept it alive. "We" have; an entire fandom. And I already have my prize, the movie is getting made.

That's right, it never died. I didn't say it did. I said we kept it alive. Japanese, American, Canadian, Mexican, European fans all kept it alive. We buy the toys, the comics, the hats, and the T-Shirts.
I'm only pointing out you make it sound like Don Murphy is doing us a favor by telling us what little he knows about the movie. Producers do that all the time, and so do actors and directors.
Right now Jon Favreau has a Myspace page where he answers fan questions about his upcoming movie. And I can guarantee he's never called a fan "Twin Tits" because they disagree with him.
