This does explain why Rodimus's corpse was grey. He was dead for quite some time. And that means everyone else, is fresher.

    Guys!
Then Why did nightbeat saw Rewinds ghost?
and why there was a tortured scream in `Domey`s datapad when he kept listening to rewinds message!?

Although this plot point was geussed well ahead of time I still think it's a nifty story and can't wait to see how it plays out. I'm trying to figure out how they'll go about getting the original crew back. Maybe destroying the duplicate's quantum engine?

Really sad to hear that Other!Rung died in the inital explosion. It seems such a lonely way for him to go after Our!Rung has made some friends. And oh ho, if th ecolour on Rung's chest is anything to go by then he isn't a point one percenter.

    The wait is killing me!

Right now it seems that the presense of this Lost Light has 'overwritten' our Lost Light, as if reality's correcting itself.
Back when our Lost Light was stilla lot further away that only caused minor annoyances - some things disappearing, room numbers and letters changing (assuming it's part of all this as well: on the other Lost Light rooms might have been used differently). Rewind's 'ghost' appearing for a brief second was THIS Rewind, not a ghost but the real one. For a moment, he was 'phasing'.

Same goes for Rewind's message. The scream comes from THIS Rewind's recordings, and it was simply phasing into 'our' Rewind's recording.

He saw Rewind because the two Lost Lights were competing for existence. He heard screaming because while in his Lost Light the final sound on the Data Stick was Rewind's farewell, but it turned into the stick from the other Lost Light, where the final recording was the DJD massacre.

    Edit: Dang, ah gots ninja'd.

But then why would the LL dissapear? What exactly made it so the two ships can't co-exist now, but could for so long?

If it's not a paradox, why did one Lost Light need to go? The Lost Light "chose" both point B's, and it has Quantum Jumped many times since "choosing." Why all of a sudden does it dissapear? And if the two Lost Lights can't exist in proximity to eachother, how did it split to begin with? And what is the designated proximity that means there can't be two?

It just raises too many questions.

Maybe, and this is me grabbing at all the straws, there is something on the LL2 that gives it priority over our LL. Maybe that thing is Rewind? Nightbeat did mention that knowledge/information carries weight, it has presence. Later solicits say that the crew are going to have to do something horrible. Maybe that something is killing Rewind.

I suspect that the answer to these questions revolve around the LL2's leaking quantum foam. Given that Rewind was still hiding, I suspect that the LL2 massacre was pretty recent and when the DJD trashed the LL2 the leaking quantum foam combined with the proximity of the two ships led to the quantum disappearances that are being experienced now.

It's just, as much as I love MTMTE, it's asking for me to accept a LOT of contrivances to make this "alternate dead Lost Light shock-value fest" story work. Using quantum physics to create a story that has so far been kind of a bore by MTMTE standards (which is still excellent by any other standards) that's been a lot of techobabble, "what's happening?" and shocking imagery.

And the biggest issue is that Roberts is asking us to accept quantum physics, the same physics that disprove the mere existance of 30 foot robots who can walk and move around like normal sized people and turn into anything.

It's just, I've yet to see the point of all this. It's just "weird shit happens" without the character building, endearment or immediate reprecussions MTMTE's normal weird shit brings. I'm just not seeing the entertainment value in a physics lesson combine with "hey look, all your favourite characters are DEAD now" which just pings off me since I know they're not dead and this'll be reversed. It's not not enjoyable. (to me, of course. If you like this kind of stuff that's great because it means you hit jackpot. I don't)

So basically I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting to see what likewise contrived pseudo-science will undo all this.

I dunno, it's just not doing it for me.

But how? How does quantum foam work?

The only part of this preview that really got me to laugh was Riptide "you just put the word 'quantum' in front of everything." I still don't like Riptide or get why he's here (at least Nautica, for how boring and one-note she is, is needed as the "expert techo-head" with Perceptor and Brainstorm gone) but I do agree with him.

    The stuff that's happening...oh man.....oh oh damn.

Also that DJD Scale of Justice Cover.....It's so beautifully poetic.

So Rung died in an explosion and Rodimus was killed by the sparkeater.

Rodimus was killed trying to kill the spark eater. Actually Rodimus was killed by being Rodimus.

The dressing-down Magnus gave Rodimus back when he successfully killed the Sparkeater now feels more relevant.

I know, I know. Jeeze, dude. No need to condescendingly talk down. But it doesn't answer my question.

It explains why there were two Lost Lights.

My question is why aren't there still two? What made the other dissappear all of a sudden? Was it proximity? Did it get too close? What counts as "close?" Everything's relative. And what nonsense will bring it back?

The only thing I can think of is that it all started once they picked up the Coffin. The Coffin is part of the dead LL, and made of parts from it. So it's part of the dead LL. Once it was observed, the real LL started to dissappear.

There's only two problems: One, that's an astronomical impossibility that they just happened to come across the Coffin. Two, I could've sworn the dissappearences started before they found the Coffin, and the time-travel message merely mentioned opening it, as if Rodimus observing Rodimus was what set it all into motion. Which doesn't add up.
