they should price match just like Amazon.com in the US.

 

It's great to read the good news that your orders have been shipped out. As soon as I receive the request for shipping payment, I'll be getting mine as well.

 

Yup, I just sent them an email to ask if they can match it for me. Let's hope they do. I expect my freight forwarder's shipping costs will be pretty high so every little bit counts.

Speaking of Amazon, just got an email that mine has shipped out. Yay!

EDIT: Not 2 minutes later I get an email from customer service saying they can't price match.

I'd also like any thoughts on this, though I imagine the answer is probably ebay. If you want to PM me a reply, I'd more than appreciate it.

I know that some of the early pre-orders were 45-50 USD (though I don't think that included shipping), but would you say ~85 USD shipped is OK at this point ?

I'd be curious to know what those of you who have placed an order for a 2nd copy on ebay have paid.

My other one from AmiAmi isn't in stock yet. Oddly, four of the five Adventure figures I preordered there are also not in stock yet, while the Grimlock/Steeljaw two-pack is, for whatever reason.

Barring Japanese retailers reopening their listings, yeah your best bet is likely eBay at this point. I would think Mandarake or Jungle could still sell this, so they're worth keeping an eye on, but I don't know how cheaply they would price this.

Those in hand picks look lush! God's speed to my Exhaust as he wings his way from Japan.

Is it too early to get a sense of how rare this figure is then? Presumably with many order cancellations lots of people won't get it but then again with all that stock sitting in Japanese warehouses won't it just mean that they'll all be sold through Japanese retailers instead?

Just got an email from Amazon Japan that both of my Exhausts and my Star Sabers have shipped!!

 

Depends what size the production run was on this repaint anyway.

With regular JApanese retail willing to send it overseas it should show that if you want one there will be avenues open to get one without having to pay too high a price.

I can't imagine Exhaust would've had the same size of production run as Wheeljack had, even before the PM saga started. I assume that the run was downsized when the American shops (BBTS, TFSource, etc) pulled their pre-orders late last year, before the run had even been started. Any excess stock would've been from later cancellations, especially Hasbro Asia's.

 

I can never tell if ppl are being sarcastic or not in type.....
