They had some really amazing designs.

It was amazing the first time Grimlock transforms. But I'm really bummed by the fact they got limited screentime.

Next time, if the live action movies are going to promote certain characters other than Optimus and Bumblebee. It has to be worth it. There has to be both hype and substance.

 

My feelings on them is the same as Soundwave in TFP. They were awesome when they did anything but any positive feelings for them are drowned out by my annoyance over how little screen time they got.

That said, I really like Scorn's toy so I'm really happy he got at least one memorable moment in which he tumbles onto those 'Cons, impaling them on his back spikes.

 

Love them to death. I just love their knight theme, their sheer power, and their ferocity. If Bay still hates the Dinobots, it doesn't show. They just killed it wherever they go.


I also love Grimlock's beak-mouth.

They're great. I wished Grimlock spoke, but so long as his toys sell well enough, he'll have another chance in TF5.

They didn't much screen time, but let's be fair, they got a lot more than anyone could have realistically hoped for.

One question, when Prime said "join us or die" was it a direct threat, or did he mean they would all die against the enemy if they couldn't cooperate?!

 

I don't think Prime literally meant he would 'kill' them. I think it's just symbolizing how bad the situation is and that they cannot afford to be pissing around at this moment, kind of like a kick up the arse!

 

I'll have to watch for that, too, next time I see AoE...

I loved the Dinobots! Definitely one of the best parts of the movie, it's a shame they were in it for such a short amount of time. I'm hoping they show up in future movies.

Even though these weren't their names, the first time I saw the movie I said "look there's Swoop! And Slag!" in my head when I saw Strafe and Slug.

Can't wait to get the BBTS set of these guys.

I am a huge dinosaur nut so I love the dinobots are one of my favorite characters. I just wish they had deigned more like the dinosaurs they are. Mostly Grimlock and Slug the other two I can live with.
