I know they're the bad guys and "have" to lose all the time, but.... In the beginning of ROTF they were being hunted down bubble Autobots and humans because they were Decepticons. Then in AOE they are hunted AGAIN (Although it's understandable because of Chicago)! All they do in these films is die. In every film they are close to victory, but then lose. Just imagine nearly winning 3 times! But always lose.... I'd be pissed.

When they are invading Chicago I didn't mind it....I was happy that they get some victory (although humans were dying).

What do you guys and girls think?

I was kinda sad when the Decepticons were pretty much losing but there's that rule the good guys must win well expect in Dark Knight the Joker beat Batman emotionally, off topic, but the Decepticons had really cool designs: Starscream as the pizza, Megatron (1st movie), Blackout, the Fallen, etc. I just hope that Galvatron and his Decepticons kill at least one Autobot like Crosshairs or Bee and be victorious until Optimus comes back with his own army.

They deserve it, as retribution for the alien races they've devastated and the Battle of Chicago's death toll. In short, the Cons must pay for their sins by the sword. If this means use of a black ops unit, so be it.

Of course, the Cemetary Wind unit is led by a corrupt man who has tricked his subordinates into thinking they're doing it for the greater good. But hey!

    Villains lose.

I mean, I'd honestly be pretty pissed if I paid money to see a Transformers movie and it ended with the Autobots slaughtered and Earth getting destroyed.

Barring some examples that would probably get me into trouble if I say them aloud, I am in firm belief the good guys win the overall battle. The villains can have victories and near wins, but ending a series with the heroes being killed? Not my cup of tea.

Unless that man is Hank Scorpio.

They might surprise us and make TF5+6 and kind of two parter with the cons kind of winning at the end of no. 5.

But that'd be far too involved for them to be doing with lol

I said over in another thread, I really hope the next Movie ends with the Cons on top. I feel that the series needs an Empire Strikes Back type film and it would have to be the next one. The Autobots scattered and disheartened, humanity on the brink, Prime captured and cowed by the Creators. We know it will all turn out alright come the sixth, but the series needs an outing where it doesn't turn out alright in the end.

    True dat.
even old greek plays had a fair share of tragedy to keep you guessing. If you know the good guy is always going to win and come out clean, what's the point of watching the damn movie?

You shouldn't feel bad...you should feel pity.

Still they are genocidal monsters that deserve to be put down....but I wished they didn't die so pathetically. That's why I pity them so.

Yeah, but it'd be nice if we got a few really great characters out of the Decepticons instead of a horde of monsters that exist just to get killed. Imagine if we had a villain like Davy Jones or Frollo or, dare I dream, Loki.

I don't feel bad because most of them were just punching bags for the Autobots.

The Dark Knight Rises, love it or hate it, did a very good job of putting good in a bad place and making them earn their victory.

When Batman actually returned you were ready for him. I would love that to happen in a TF movie.

Also Thor II. Sure Thor beats the Dark Elves and it looks like your standard run of the mill good guy total victory, and then boom turns out sneaky Loki gets what he had been wanting.

It hardly had the same tension to it.

In TDKR Batman still had to lay his life on the line to get the job done where as few lone Autobots and the USofA's 'finest' took down a whole army of Decepticons.

I understand your say but not all Cons are Decepticons by choice
