    I am 100% positive it will involve some ancient cybertronian artifact that landed on Earth that nobody ever knew about, including the actual cybertronians, until the events of the movie.

    Happened with the AllSpark, happened with the Sun Harvester/Matrix/all the old transformers who had incidentally been hiding out on Earth for years but never told anybody, happened with the Spacebridge/Sentinel Prime moonwreck, it's looking like something similar is going down with AOE, so it's a safe bet TF5 will be plot repetition once again.

    i don't know.. from what i've heard, lockdowns ship is/holds the key to the next two movies..

    you're definitely right though.. if they use another artifact for the next movie, they really need to switch it up a bit.. use it in a different way.

    i think the ending of this movie is going to make me really interested in the beginning of the next.

    i feel like this is the first time they've been able to think of an overarching theme for a trilogy.. unlike the first where they weren't sure how many sequels they'd be able to do.. so that has me hopeful.

    This is going to sound totally crazy, but...what if the writers didn't make a plot around some lazy McGuffin magitech artifact for once?

    Like, maybe something along the lines of Autobots and Decepticons actually fighting an active war while hiding among the humans purely for dominance of Earth's resources?

    Because honestly, there hasn't been a single Transformers series since G1 (which includes Beast Wars/Machines because despite taking place before the dawn of man, the G1 guys are already there anyway) that didn't rely on some cybertronian crap just 'happening' to fall to Earth before the events of the actual show. RID had the O-plates/Fort Max, Armada had mini-cons, energon had Energon, Cybertron had Atlantis be a goddamn spaceship, Animated had Sari's protoform, Prime is defined by Earth being both littered with Cybertronian garbage relics, dead carcass fosils, and then the actual planet being Unicron.

    Theory time :3

    TF5;
    At the end of TF4 Optimus has left Earth and Bumblebee is in charge of the Autobots mirroring the events of Transformers Prime. Galvatron meanwhile has disappeared after a climactic battle in TF;AOE and its presumed that he was destroyed.

    - Tessa has joined KSI with the hopes of reforming it and helping the Autobots
    - Shane has joined the military fighting against the Decepticons
    - Cade has begun working out like crazy and is now a powerhouse of muscle

    We start TF5 with Bumblebee trying to lead the Autobots on a mission with Ultra Magnus space bridging to Earth with a few of his wreckers; Springer, Blurr and Kup.

    Tessa visit hers dad expositing that he needs to stop worrying about trying to protect her all the time and takes some time off - giving him a brochure for Tokyo.

    Ultra Magnus proclaims he should lead the Autobots given he is higher ranking than Bumblebee. Ultra Magnus is a strict militaristic leader who is willing to send his Autobots on a suicide mission against a Transformers combiner - Bruticus. While the Autobots win under the leadership of Ultra Magnus the battle results in the deaths of several of the TF;AOE Autobots with Ultra Magnus referring to them as casualties of war.

    Cade travels to Tokyo as Tessa meets with Shane as he proposes to her - however she is worried about taking a step forward when she is struggling to keep her job and the two have a short argument that ends with Shane leaving.

    Tessa goes back to KSI and via an accident with a space scanning device she accidentally gets it to scan Earth - revealing the existence of a spaceship buried under Tokyo.

    Struggling with the recent loss of a majority of the Autobots, the humans turn to help from the humans. Tessa however warns them that something has been draining power from Tokyo - revealing it to be a crashed alien spaceship buried deep beneath Tokyo that has been masked by Tokyo's energy signature.

    The spaceship is revealed to be 'Omega Supreme' an ancient guard of Cybertron - whose programming dictates to value all non-Cybertronians as a threat.

    Tessa arrives in Toyko meeting up briefly with Cade who has been fighting alongside the Autobots - however Tessa runs off to go find her dad who is struggling to escape some of the destruction that is happening around him.Omega Supreme rises and attacks Tokyo however just when all hope seems lost Optimus returns and helps defeat Omega Supreme.

    With Omega Supreme defeated the Autobots start to question Prime asking where he was and what he discovered that made him come back - to which Optimus solemnly warns them that something is heading towards Earth - before he is interrupted by a tank-missile.

    The humans are attacking the Transformers in retaliation for the destruction of Tokyo, flames and smoke rise from everywhere. The Autobots desperately trying to flee as the military carpet bomb the city to destroy the Autobots once and for all... and then Galvatron appears walking through the rubble in a new body with two new robots at his side Cyclonus and Scourge.

    Galvatron attacks Optimus, ripping the Matrix from him and crushing it, as the Autobot retreat in horror...

    -end credits-

    TF6;
    We open to Galvatron standing amongst the wrecked Tokyo, the human armies are decimated and a massive Decepticon spaceship hovers above as he addresses Cyclonus and Scourge about the preparations for their master.

    The Autobots have retreated hiding in the ruins of the city, their plans have failed and Optimus lays dying as he passes on leadership of the Autobots to Ultra Magnus who values himself as unworthy but accepts.

    We see the city as Tessa is sneaking past waves of Decepticon guards looking for her father who she discovers has twisted his ankle resulting in her being forced to support him as the two attempt to leave the city. They discover Shane along the way, he's badly wounded and Tessa bandages the wound.

    (Rest of the film would follow the arrival of Unicron, the humans banding together to get the KSI Space bridge technology working to use against Unicron, Cade sacrificing himself to prevent a Decepticon from killing Tessa and a final climactic battle between Bumblebee and Galvatron followed by Tessa's marriage to Shane)

    We know one thing for sure: Optimus will be back. If he isn't, consider me shocked.

    Do we have any left? Elita-1, Arcee and Chromia are dead. Think the only surviving members are Firestar and Flareup?

    Unfortunately, Michael Bay hates the idea of female robots (aside from ones that look like Isabel Lucas), so just telling you now this likely isn't ever happening again.

    Ejector and the kitchen robots take over the planet. They elect Vending Machine Con as the new leader of the Decepticons.

    What?!? Take the Transformers movie franchise into a fresh direction that isn't just retreading the same irritatingly-repetitive formula for the umpteenth time?!? How dare you!!!

    Actually, here's an idea: why not do a TF5 that involves the Autobots racing to beat the Decepticons to another Ancient Buried Whatsit - only for the whole deal to be revealed to be a trap for the Autobots, plotted by a Decepticon big bad who ISN'T another incompetent snarling lunatic and actually just really wants to kill the f*** out of them and pretty much everybody on Earth out of revenge for the loss of anything capable of reviving Cybertron? How about that?
