Let's say that Unicron does appear in this new trilogy. Would any of you guys be opposed if instead of making him massive, Michael Bay decides to have the decepticons build a vessel for Unicron to use. Similar to how Unicron took over Megatrons body in Predacons Rising.

If done right, I'd be ok with it.

Perhaps make him a large, very powerful being with the ability to decimate whole planets. Kind of like Galactus. That would work.

Nah. Unicron is a boring villain in my opinion. We should take a break from him.

I'm getting kinda sick of Robo-satan. I think that having a average sized con that is so powerful he doesn't need/have an army to back him up, would be cool to see, though I doubt it would ever happen. Maybe Overlord or Sixshot

Oh man has somebody actually said that? That would be like my greatest fear for a movie Unicron, some kind of portrayal like that. I've been afraid to mention it because I thought I might jinx us if Unicron does show up in the movieverse.

i would really love to see how they'd handle a movie-verse unicron. he's just too popular not to give it a try.

but something tells me that bay might like the quintessons better.. who knows.

i still think that the ship that is sucking up everything in the trailer reminds me of unicron.

have there been any prequel comics or novels out or announced? i can't remember hearing or reading anything, is that a first.. since the first movie? i believe both rotf and dotm had prequel comics and novels, though, i could be mistaken.

nah.. as terrible as some may think bay is.. i REALLY couldn't see him doing that to unicron.. i think bay would salivate over a planet sized transformer that devours planets. and, if unicron is ever in this series, i'm sure he'd be bad ass no matter what.. whether he is planet sized, devastator sized, or lockdown sized. like tony said, if done right, it could work.

Or they could do a different take on Unicron and make him actual demon and chaos material.

I would love to see Unicron as a planet sized Transformer, and am pretty certain it'd work well if done properly.

I know a lot of people say it can't be done, bla bla bla, but I can already imagine it.

So I know this has been discussed loads and I m sorry to go back to old subjects but Unicron in the franchise still bugs me. It’s more to do with how he will be portrayed in the franchise if they choose to use him. At first I thought his planet mode could be used at all. I thought it’s just too big to use on screen to do him justice. You can see a point in instance if he did transform how that transformation would look on screen and how long it would take to transform. The reason I say time is because he would be a plant so I can’t imagine any transformation would be quick or simple.

This could lead though to action sequences on Unicron’s surface. I watched the original star wars last night and thought it would be interesting to have the autobot’s attack Unicron similar how the rebels attack the death star. What I mean is small ships/Autobot’s attacking the surface of Unicron against parasites that live on him. Unicron then transforming so the surface will be unpredictable and unstable due to his transformation taking place in the film. Also the action could be set inside of Unicron as well like the original cartoon film.

If Unicron is used I wouldn’t be apposed to how transformers prime used him in some episodes as perhaps been an entity of sorts that can take possession of transformers and mutilate them into a resemblance of him and posse’s powers that no transformer has and this way he could be the ultimate weapon of destruction and power. This way he doesn’t have to be just a giant eating planet and could have some scope in the film.

He still could be gigantic compared to other transformers but just not planet sized and enables him to interact better with the characters in the franchise.

I gotta say I'm also a bit bored with the Unicron as the big bad. I say go with someone like Overlord. Maybe even Jihaxus or someone along those lines. Thunderwing even....

if bay decided to use unicron.. i can't imagine him not using him as a giant transforming planet.

though.. he may think it'd be either too unbelievable or a planet sized unicron could pose some logistical CG problems.. who knows.

also.. it's kind of going to be a bit of a shame that you can't pause the movie in the theater to look at all everything lol.

I think that would actually be pretty cool. Unicron is cool and all, but the whole giant planet-destroyer shtick is really cliche now.
