I had a dream like that once, but for some reason I was breeding a bunch of Cybertronian cats(like Ravage) for Megatron. Really weird dream lol.

    That sounds cool!

Here are some titles I came up with:

    Transformers: At The End
    Transformers: Cataclysm
    Transformers: Forgotten Era
    Transformers: 2031
    Transformers: Our World
    Transformers: Rust In Peace
    Transformers: Dawn of Heroes
    Transformers: Forbidden Planet
    Transformers: Hope From The Stars
    Transformers: Warriors Of Legend
A Light In Out Darkest Hour: A Transformers Epic

Read Rhythms of Darkness. The premise is "What if Unicron and Galvatron won in the '86 movie?" and the answer is Transformers meets Terminator.

    Transforminator.

If you reworked that and it's ending to be the opening for an adaption of Target: 2006, you'd have a pretty sweet flick.

Eh....I don't really want a post apocalyptic Transformers film. I find this setting too atypical and done to death.

I'd be perfectly content with a TF movie in which the Decepticons have already taken over the Earth well before the movie's beginning, and laid waste to the major cities by the time any Autobots show up. That's be post-apocalyptic enough for me, anyway.

To be honest: what would the movies possibly gain from going full-on end-of-the-world? DOTM effectively WAS that for Chicago and now AoE is effectively going to do the same thing for all of civilized Earth.

Oh, and DOTM Megatron totally was designed by a Mad Max aficionado, just saying.

    Your Idea

That sounds pretty interesting to me. One caveat I'd suggest is that it be an independently-done film. I wish that the Transformers film versions we've had so far had been crafted with, regarded with, and had gotten, the same respect that the MARVEL and DC Comics properties have gotten, in my opinion.

Plus, with your idea, there'd be more of a focus on the robots. Question: what kind of apocalypse happened in your story? Nuclear War? Some kind of viral or disease-type of epidemic? And how would you explain the WWII alt-modes? Just picking your brain. Also, who would be your pick for director?

    How about this:

    Transformers: New Cybertron
    Transformers: A Spark Rekindled?

Given how over-saturated post-apocalyptic stories are right now (every zombie thing ever, 90% of sci-fi movies that come out, etc)....

Please no. Transformers has it's theme already, robots in disguise. All a post-apocalyptic Transformers movie would end up as is a sub-par post apocalyptic movie that just happens to have Transformers in it.

    No

Terminator fills all my post-apocalyptic needs without Micheal Bay or McG ruining it.

It's actually a neat idea. As a stand-alone movie, though, I couldn't see it. Making it the 5th or so in a new franchise, where the Cybertronians or Unicron have just fucking ass-rammed Earth, and now shit's all Mad-Max (Jin Saotome did something like this with his End of the Road customs...something like that would be neat) and Bumblebee is wearing a cloak and shit? I'd love that.

Tl;Dr-Nice idea-with some tweaking it'd be an amazing one.

I was actually toying around with the idea of doing this as a YouTube animated short film, or series, I'm not sure the amount of time, and effort that I would have to put into it would be worth it, unless it would go viral, and make me money.

I was thinking the world would have been destroyed due to thousands of years of the robot civil war. Basically Earth has suffered the same fate as Cybertron. The only difference is, the Autobots have been destroyed this time, so the Decepticons have caused even more damage to society.

I didn't mean exclusively WWII altmodes, just older vehicles from different eras, along with new ones. Basically, it's been thousands of years since vehicles have been manufactured regularly, so everything's ancient. Something from the 1940's is the same as something from the 2040's to them, especially since Cybertronians are far more advanced than any Earth vehicles. It's all just transportation/disguise to them. Anyway, the surviving humans have been using any refubished vehicles they can find, or construct from scrap, so they work for disguises. Mad Max-style vehicles would work great also.

As for director, Andrew Stanton directed the animated film Wall-e (a partly post apocolyptic movie), and did a superb job, I'm not sure how he would do on a war-based film though. I could see Peter Jackson doing a good job, he likes to focus on scenery, and establishing shots, which would really bring tone to this kind of film. Not to mention, he loves big war scenes.

That was one of my favorites, along with "Warriors of Legend".

I see where your coming from, though sometimes I just think it's neat to see a franchise like Transformers go somewhere else. Especially since post-apocolyptic genre is pretty intriguing.

    I saw these, their awesome!

If it's going to be like Jin Saotome's 'End of the Road' series, I say let's go in balls-deep!
