First, I 'd have to say that I am seriously disappointed in what we've seen thus far. It appears that the fact that the Transformers are an advanced alien race has completely gone out the window, as they look even more human in this film. I mean, come on! What's the point here? Are they alien or not? In the first film, they look , act, and speak in a believable manner. In ROTF, we see Bay add the twins with a racist hip-hop twist to them, an ancient jet who states that he has a "father" who was the first wheel, and farts a parachute out of his rear end. Yeah, that's really what Transformers was all about.... Next, we have "Que/Wheeljack" who looks like Albert Einstein instead of the G1 character that we all know and admire. Now we have a version of Hound that resembles Santa Claus with a pipe, a corvette who looks like he has a trenchcoat, and all of them look like they have samurai armor on. Was all of this done to pony up to the Asian market or what? I don't recall anywhere else where Autobots looked like samurai, other than Drift in the comics, and even then he wasn't anything like in this film. Let's not forget that Grimlock is shown to be a Carnotarus who is way out of proportion to the actual Dinosaur that he resembles. And of course, the Dinobots too, must appear like samurai or some other crap with a made in china sticker on it. I don't think I'll even go and see this film because of the craziness that is already portrayed....
Grimlock is a horned Tyrannosaurus. No need to get all scientific. And the Dinobots are knights, not samurais. Everything expressed in this post is just distaste for the different approaches the movies are making.
I respect your opinion, but dont agree with it, but its yours so thanks for sharing it, Bay will be Devastated that he has failed you, maybe TF5 will suit your needs.
Problem is, you're trying to make the Movieverse G1. It's not. Try to enjoy it for what it is, not what it isn't.
I guess you can't please everyone. I have lost count on how many complaints about that the TFs did not look human enough in the last 3 movies. I guess they look more human now is because the makers listen to the people complaining on the design.
Maybe he is still hurting about Ironhide's parts in AoE, just being Rust in the wind is not much fun to watch.
It's so ironic that people wanted more human faces because bots were too alien. Now they do, but they still whine. You may want more alien faces though, so do I. But please people, stop with the carnotaurus bullshit. He's the most t-rex looking Grimlock EVER. Two little horns don't change that.

Are you one of those people who still hasn't managed to understand that the movies are based off of G1 and other incarnations, and not a direct shot for shot copy?
I almost feel like he started this thread just to get everyone else hot and bothered over this stuff. And for the most part, a lot of people fell for it.
