I don't get this complaint.

It is no difficult to understand the action, it is just bad camera work and shaky cam for effects. The first movie is really the main culprit.

Not all action scenes were like this. The Blackout opening scene was fine but certain scenes such as Bee vs Barricade and some of the city fighting was just camera work that didn't do the action any favors.

Everything got significantly better from those perspectives for 2 & 3.

I'm going to try to be very nice.

    WHAT?!

    Okay. Not a good start.

In no way, shape or form did I insult anyone. I was addressing the very real very common very old series of insults around here that anyone who takes note of the many, many, many discontinuities in these action scenes has some sort of mental health or eyesight problem. That's an insult. That's patronizing.

Me turning it around for satirical effect? Not so much.

Oh, and my iPad does that. "Seam." (Now without me fixing the correction software) "Seem."

And, see, that makes sense. Still a little patronizing, but people who claim that all the movie robots look the same are exaggerating to make a point anyway, or possibly do have some sort of issue. But, in all likelihood, that first one.

The '07 movie had some issues in the way the action was filmed.

But the Forest Fight is very easy to follow, if someone really had a hard time following that then it may be a real ocular condition.

Agreed. Something I noticed today while watching ROTF was Optimus jumping off of Demolishor as he crashed into that pipeline.

You can't just say you were being satirical in hindsight in text-only communication. You should know by now that sarcasm or any attempt at underlying humor doesn't work well on the internet.

And even if it was auto-corrected... that wasn't you really "paying attention" at all, was it?

As fans of Transformers in general we know all the names, designs, background from other series, and what the robot's personality was like in the past to compare it to the film personality. Comic books and novels for the fans who want even more information going in. We've even compared how close the toys look to the screen appearance of the characters.

But if a robot's name wasn't used several times in the film or they weren't given enough good lines to establish a personality then people tend to call them things like that silver robot, no not that one the other silver robot.

Im in high school and even the guys who didn't play with the toys as a kid are able to recognize and name most of the Autobots.

I think things aren't helped that the flow seems to be 'off' in some places. In an action scene it should be A to B to C etc, but sometimes it's A to B to F to R to $ to %. Doesn't help when the camera is too close and shaking about and cuts are too quick. Or that so many of the robots are either grey or very muted colours.
Or maybe they're just Geewunners or something, eh? :p

No, no, no, friend. I don't dismiss those who dislike the movies as Geewunners. There's a major difference.

I kind of feel like if something is literally just saying the exact opposite thing, than the assumption is fair.

Even so, does it really matter? At all?

There's already too many assumptions flying around as it is.

If you tell someone to pay attention and you cannot yourself... joking or otherwise... yeah. It's like telling someone that they need to learn how to "spell correctly and use proper grammer (sic)"
