I'd like Neill Blomkamp, I like his visual direction and how he incorporates real world problems into his films. Though Elysium had WAY too much shaky cam in action scenes which ruined it.

 

If they ever did an all or mostly transformers cast I'd say Shane Black and have bay in a producing role, you would have good dialogue and explosions!

 

Why do we have this thread again? There are like 4million threads that have asked this!

 

I'd like some talented new director who has shown some skill but hasn't really hit the big time yet. Some of the big name directors have gotten rather entrenched in their way of making movies so while they might not be bad movies there is just too much of the expected and not enough didn't see that coming.

Whoever they get, new person or director who's been at this a long long time I want someone who is a great story teller. With so many special effects driven films being pushed out each summer I'm just not as impressed with effects these days as I am with great characters. Manage to throw a great villain into a good story and then you've got a film I can love.
