    The difference is in TF: Prime - even at the end of 3 seasons only one main Decepticon has actually died via the Autobots (Megatron via Bumblebee)

    Granted two minor Decepticons died also via the Autobots - Makeshift and Hardshell killed by Wheeljack and Miko respectively.

    Dreadwing, Skyquake, Breakdown were killed by Megatron, Starscream and Airachnid respectively. Bombshock was also killed by Decepticons.

    Meanwhile the Autobots also suffered casualties - with CliffJumper, Tailgate, Seaspray, Pyro, RotorStorm, Roadbuster and Halogen being killed off - though granted some happened off screen

    So in short;

    Autobot kills; 3 (2 minor, 1 major)
    Decepticon kills; 7 (4 minor, 3 major)

    So the Decepticons have killed more than double the Autobot cast (Drones on either side not counted)

    So what series were you watching? Because it certainly wasn't transformers Prime

    several of the Decepticons were killed via friendly fire - meaning that it still is not the same principle as the movies (in which all the Decepticons are killed off bar one or two at the end of every movie)

    You know what, lets play your silly game of 'onscreen deaths' then;

    Autobots killed via Decepticons (Not Counting Humans);
    CliffJumper - Onscreen death Killed by Starscream
    Tailgate - Onscreen death, Killed by Airachnid
    Seaspray - onscreen death, ship exploded due to Decepticon enemy

    Decepticons killed via Autobots (Not Counting Humans);
    Makeshift - Onscreen death, Killed by Wheeljack
    Megatron - Onscreen death, Killed by Bumblebee (Note - will be revived)

    Total;
    3 Autobots killed via Decepticons onscreen
    2 Decepticons killed via Autobots onscreen

    Note - Optimus was also killed via the Decepticons as he was going to die if Smokescreen did not use the deus ex machina to save him.

    It doesn't matter. They were Decepticons, they died. That's it.

    The problem with having the humans kill the Decepticons with real world weapons is that it feels like you don't really need the Autobots. You might need Prime to kill the Fallen but everyone else could be killed by just throwing more troops and more ordinance at the Decepticons. With the human stock piles of weapons and the number of humans at no point does it feel like the Decepticons have any chance without the magical McGuffin.

    Also a feeling of arbitrary make it up as you go along rules with who stays dead and who's back from the dead. Sort of well we got bored with that character so they can stay dead but we might need that other character so lets bring them back from the dead.

    I think the one sided fight is why I get rather bored when I watch the films. While the fights can look cool there is a point in the films when you know it's an ironclad guarantee the Decepticons will lose and good guys have this film in the bag. Just not that tension of oh my gosh the bad guys might win this one. It's like how people say gambling would get boring if you won every single time and could never lose.
