Does anyone think that Movie Laserbeak is around the size of a real Condor? I'm trying to think of a Trex size and compared to Optimus and if that rusty truck is Grimlock it wouldn't matter with height of a real Trex, it would matter of length.
So 2-5 dudes with dino alt-modes out of a cast of vehicles would get stale, but a bunch of sports cars hasn't gotten stale after 3, soon to be 4 movies?
They can always make the robot modes look more dinosauren but still has a general humanoid shape to them like most kaiju do.
You mean something like these dudes? But more robotic http://community.us.playstation.com...D8C21FCA22/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1 Because if the Dinobots are like this I think I'm fine.
dino force got human robots in dino shells dino force got giant warrior mode too and dino force combie in warrior
Something like that but I was thinking more on the likes of this. TFP The Dynobots by ~KaijuGuy19 on deviantART Or this. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2 - Concept Art
I can live with those, Just as long as the Dino in Dinobots means Dinosaurs and not Dino as in Dynamite or something.
Seriously, is it that hard to have Cybertronians scan animatronics? It's the simplest and most obvious answer. Have Grimlock be the rusty truck is Bay really wants it but then have him re-scan later on. Bay isn't stupid though, he knows that people want the Dinobots as Dinosaurs. That said, Grimlock hasn't always been a Dinosaur just like Unicron hasn't always been a planet/moon.
Dinobots would be a great addition. Having them turn into dinosaurs is not problematic - introduce them in robot mode, having just arrived, and have Prime or somebody tell them they need earth-modes. Grimlock could say something along the lines of "oh we'll pick something uniquely Earth" Then have them serve as security or "last defense" at an Autobot base. Or have them left behind at an important location, to gaurd something of value. Never show them Transform, just establish that they're at this location serving as defense. Then when the shit hits the fan in the 3rd act, and Decepticons attack the location in force....Grimlock (and other dinobots if they decide to include them) comes out and we get some crazy amazing transformation sequence revealing what they've picked to turn into. Bayhem ensues, Dinobots kick everybody's ass, and after the battle is over somebody can comment to Grimlock about what the heck he picked as an alt-mode and he can just say "prime said pick something from earth.....me like" (that could be the only time he says "me" instead of I. Regular people do that sort of thing all the time, "me likey" etc, and it'd be a nice touch) I mean, imagine what would have happened in DotM if the dinobots had been stationed to guard the pillars. Sentinel would have shown up and been fighting alone and...well the movie would have been a lot shorter and Chicago would still exist.
Figure on about 40 feet in length for a T-rex, 18 feet or so high. A bunch of that is tail, but the tail is pretty thick. In robot mode, Megatron would come up to the top of his shoulder or there-abouts. So he'd be bigger, but not excessively.
If you want them to turn into rubber skinned animatronics. They transform entirely into what they scan. I mean, if you can figure out how to turn this into robot parts, good on ya.
I just had this theory if the Rusty Truck is Grimlock that the tail would extend like a car antena if that is the case. Even compared to Optimus and a real Trex, it would be shorter than Optimus by height. But all this talk about Dinobots is driving me crazy. I wish they would get it over with and tell us if the Dinobots are in this film or not.
I was looking at some old news from years ago and remembering the statement of Michael Bay saying, "I don't like them, Actually I hate them." Hard to know that the Dinobots will be in this film with that statement floating around this site.
like. However i think that if grimlock does show up in the last battle of the film he should do like he did in the one FoC promo were just calmly walks on to the battle field with his sword in his hand stops looks around slams his sword into the ground then transform into t-rex mode and roar with flames coming out of his mouth then run towards some protocons and tear through them with his jaws and light a bunch of them on fire before hound starts shot them following close be hind
I think I have a solution that works. A unit of autobots in Chicago is ambushed by decepticons. Badly damaged, they stumble into a museum that had been preparing a new animatronic dinosaur exhibit. These dinos could have been constructed using the actual skeletons for greater accuracy or something. Needing a fix, the wounded autobots scan the animatronic dinos and voila...DINOBOTS! The dino bones used, infuse them with the organic portion which accounts for the personality changes and what not. I can see it...the museum burning around them, one bot saying "hey, this feels really strange!" As they pan out with the bots shing blindingly bright. Cut out to cons on the outside firebombing the museum feeling confident when a very loud and chilling primal dino scream shrieks out. Then the dinobots emerge from the firey wreck. Cue total beyhem at it's finest. Priceless moment!
Has anyone besides me thought that maybe, just maybe, the Dinobots could be Triple-Changers? Vehicle-Dino-Robot: Problem solved. That way they could have their Cybertronian form, Earth disguise, and a sorta last resort kickass mode. Then they can throw in something that the addition of a third mode to their systems somehow lessened their intelligence level, made them nuts (kinda like Animated Blitzwing, but not as insane), or gave them rage problems.
i think people are missing the greater picture here..if we finally have Dinobots having dinosaur modes then Hasbro has no more excuses not to make the entire Dinobots set in the movie line or classics/generations line...WE MUST HAVE DINOBOTS!!
