Take this as rumor right now because it was made in a lighthearted post after their own user-given popularity awards. But I don't think he has a reason to make it up and mess with us.

I'm in complete doubt about the fruition of this movie. I've just about given up any and all hope on it.

If it comes, I'll be one of the first to go see it. If not, well then...heh. Yeah.

 

So he's not a copter. What's the big deal? It's not as if they're gonna make him into a cassette player. Orci has already stated there will be no mass shiffting.

So whaterve he winds up being, half the fanbase is gonna be pissed and the other half just doesn't care. Be happy he's even in the film. (Hell, be happy a film is even being made guys.)  

 

He'll be a compact car, with retina searing graphics all over him, and a stereo that has more power than his engine.

 

He'll be an iPod Nano, and change into a robot four and a half inches tall.

On the upside, the toy can also be a 'roleplay item'  

 

That reminds me of this guy I used to know. He had a old VW beetle, and added a mental sound system, problem was, he couldn't start the car when it was on...

 

I said it once, and I'll say it again: I don't mind as long as he has a larger body as well (gotta love the GT tech   ).

 

So, Soundwave will be Alternators Skids?

Due to circumstances beyond my control, the role of G1 Soundwave will now be played by "Browning" from Masterforce.... that is all.

Hope he's a CIA or FBI van, or a mobile communications/command center...As long as he can still be a spy.

 

If they make him a plane make him a U-2 or a UAV. That way he still has the spy factor.

 

I say they will make soundwave a missle launching vehicle like his machine wars fig was it? Hey they might just cheapen out and slap a new head on CDT Red Alert

I'm surprised at how many people seem to hate the Cybertron design. Granted, it's not the same Soundwave yet I think it suits the original's personality much more than Energon Shockblast's design would have fit G1 Shockwave for example. I just want an alt-mode with 'personality' so hopefully we'll get something better thanan AWAC or some generic communications vehicle.
