Here is how I saw it, a DB racing truck(on chrome) is a pretty inconspicuos alt mode for a homicidal robot killing machine.

It can also be seen as in concept. It can do the spying thing and use high decible audio based attacks. Sounds so loud and deadly they could destroy whole neighborhoods The way I figured it two huge twin sized speakers would sit in the truck bed they would tf into rumble and frenzy and/or form audio shoulder cannons for soundwave. I thought it was perfect a update there just happens to be better options for S.wave.

I didnt even think of blaster till hasbro, bay whatever thought to get with a coptor for S.wave. I guess i thought of Soundwave first because he takes precedence in my mind over Blaster.

in my opinion, soundwave should be some type of surveilance van/truck. or maybe a news truck. but its gotta be blocky. with a big flat window in the front. also, modular equipment in said truck could transform into rumble, ravage, etc.

a chopper could work, but i've always associated soundwave with being a blocky character as opposed to sleek (it kind of fits his uncrazzimatic personality too). but now the chopper's out of the question now so we're left wondering what he'll be.

OR, here's an idea which would require more thought, have soundwave as a tape-recorder sized unit which changes into a small robot. the tape recorder unit can take over vehicles and re-format them into a cybertron sized transformable body. that keeps soundwave's form more or less G1-ish and being non-vehicular, and compensates for mass changing while allowing him to battle with the full sized bots. also fits him better as a spy because he can abandon the re-formatted body to report back, or ditch it if its no longer convenient. but then this would eliminate the possibility of having any of his lackeys. but from a longer fictional standpoint, with soundwave like this we could see him resurrecting and piloting enemy corpses, really enhansing his spy abilities.

edit: scratch that last part. seems more of a G1 bombshell thing to do than a soundwave thing.

i'm fine with soundwave being a vehicle. and i'm looking forward to what they're going to pick.

IMO Soundwave should at be a spy aircraft of some sort. I think the idea of a helicopter is a good one, the whole Soundwave name could have been brought about by him able to use his rotors to create a 'soundwave' or something.

I dunno, if Megatron is going to be a tank, then perhaps SW could be a custom military chopper that can transport him? That sort of brings along Megs dependency on others, (ie, he needs other TF's to shoot his alt mode).

Kinda interesting, though. I kinda like seeing zombie threads on stuff like this, just seeing reactions, if people were right, wrong, or how mad they got XD.

Ok, there really should be a rule about newbies reviving old threads.

Any mod to close this thread?

This thread doesn't need closing, it just wasn't necessary to revive it. It's 8 years old, for god's sake.
