How do we feel about this? I reckon they were alright in DOTM. Not as bad as the twins by any means.

Well leadfoot looks to be back. I'm fine with it, I enjoyed the wreckers. I'm fine if it's just leadfoot as I think he was the better of the group and much different than any other bot we're gonna get. He will surely be comic relief as well as one that can kick some ass

 

They're not even comparable to the Twins. I loved the Wreckers.

 

I sort of doubt this means they will be characters in the fourth movie. Might be filming a flashback, or it might be misdirection, but Bay has stated that the only returning robots are Optimus and Bumblebee.

But if they are back, I really hope they ditch those stupid accents. They were obviously designed to be American rednecks. They just didn't make sense in DOTM.

 

I happened to like the accents. Heck, I hunted down Roadbuster's toys to see what they looked like literally based solely on his head and accent in the movie. I imagine that if there are returning bots other than Optimus and BB, they're either going to be destroyed quickly, or flashback only.

Of course, it's possible Bay is lying through his teeth, but who knows.

 

I like the Wreckers. If they are back, hopefully Topspin will get some speaking lines this time.

 

Aside from leadfoot I think the wreckers had some of the best robot modes specially topspin. So I hope they return even if they die

 

I loved the Wreckers. I hope they add more of them. Like Whirl or some type of Ariel type Wrecker. Seriously the bot's need air support and BADLY!!!!

Yet back on topic. I hope it's just not Leadfoot. Roadbuster was my favorite he was funny especially with the accent. I also hope they add Steeljaw on this one. Everyone was hoping to see the little robo-mutt!!!    

 

Bay never said it would be only Bumblebee and Prime.

And what the heck were you watching? They weren't like rednecks at all. They had Scottish accents.

Well that's somewhat of a minor insult to british people.

 

I'm rather neutral on the Wreckers. I can't say that I loved them but on the other hand other than being movie designs I can't really say that I've got anything against them either. Just doesn't feel like we had enough of them in Dark of the Moon to build strong feelings about them either way.

 

I wish they would just get mercilessly destroyed by the Decepticons.

As I said in the other thread, they're my least favourite characters of the live-action movies, and the less I see of those ugly crap the better.

 

If they bring one back they have to bring all three! If they do however that be amazing they were one of the big highlights of the film for me.

 

You might not like them but remember the needs of the many outweigh the need of the few

 

That's my complaint. Their designs are rednecks. The beer gut, the sunglesses, the mullets, the baseball caps, the bull dog, and of course, they're NASCARS! But it seems like the voices were changed for some reason or another between the design phase and the final cut. Maybe American Southern accents came across too silly.

Ha! I'm sorry, that's not how I meant it. Stupid because the character designs were so round and clear, and then that broke the whole illusion. See above!

 

There is actually a reason behind the british accents, I just forget what it is.

 

They were more like the guys from Team Fortress 2.

Hence why we got Roadbuster more like the Demoman.
