Anyone seen this yet?

Isn't slingshot a plane and seriously, Drift. Though being Bayformers they probably be new characters with nothing in common with the names.

Drift would certainly tie into the previous report of a former Decepticon "samurai" appearing in the film.

 

please let Matthew McConaughey voice Drift. It's the voice I hear whenever I read that character.

 

For a moment I thought it's Sideswipe who's the corvette because he's also a stingray. But introducing Slingshot and Drift is so cool!

 

Slingshot doesn't make sense.

All joking aside, I never expected Slingshot, of all things they could choose. And I seriously hope Drift is a Decepticon the entire length of this first film (if that trilogy thing is still going around).

 

I rather call Slingshot Smokescreen.

The Bugatti should be named Crosswise....

 

I guess its okay I was really hoping Hound would be in the movie

 

I'm not getting hung up on names, whatever they're called onscreen will be different for the toy

Cept a DOTM toy was NEVER created for Dino/Mirage and Que/Wheeljack..

 

Drift would fit in with some of the rumors that have been floating around.

Although I wonder if Slingshot wasn't meant to be some other character and the name had to be changed for one reason or another. Really wouldn't be the first time a character had to take on a new name for the movie.

Or with Slingshot it's possible that we could have a new character introduced with the movie. The advantage being that brand new characters can't step on any nostalgia toes.

 

Drift? That's cool I hope they go with the mtmte version.

 

I think the first three movies cured me of caring what any names are. The bayverse is so much its own thing, similar or different names on new voices and personalities and characters... Meh. (Shrugs)

 

Ah, how I missed "official admin" "Haw-haw!" Nelson and his 'confirmations'.

As in, did not miss them at all.

And I find the idea that an ex-decepticon can be pardoned and accepted as an Autobot quite hilarious... in the Bayverse, where captured enemies are usually brutally executed by the "heroic" Autobots.

 

Again with the name slapping. *sigh* Ah well, at least he's consistent.
