So I was just watching the g1 episode transport to oblivion. Well, sence that this episode is after the ultimate doom episode, and dark of the moon is based on the ultimate doom......think that transformers 4 could be similar to transport to oblivion?? Like, how the autobots were rebuilding earth?? Maybe the reason the autobots from the past movies are not going to be in the new one is because they are focused on rebuilding??
Un..Transport to Oblivion come become The Ulitmate Doom 3-parter. Also Dark Of Moon had some elements of The Megatron's Master Plan 2-parter.
Our only hint on the plot is key words such as: "ingenious group of scientists and businessman." , " an ancient Transformer blah blah blah......."
I though the ancient transformer rumor was debunked by official sources. Anyway, from what Bay has hinted, its another movie where the heroes are on the run and Decepticons/humans are after them or vice versa. I imagine their will be another MacGuffin to explain why this is the case.
If thats the case, then the humans of the Transformer movies are really dumb. "Oh, you saved our planet 3 times? Lets turn on you! ...for the second time."
I'm going with a tiny homage to the episode "The Core". Drilling in China to the center of the Earth for a Macguffin, or the Decepticons already have the Macguffin, and are going to use it to drain heat energy. Chinese military and scientists are present. Autobots and the US military finds out, goes to China to stop the drilling, in the course of battle underground, controls are damaged, and it cannot be stopped. So the drill is diverted, it comes up onto another country causing massive destruction and explosions. In anger, the Autobots toss some Decepticons onto the driller, while one of them screams "I'm so screwed!!!". While the others flee. A large number of US military personnel and aid workers parachute down into the country to help the civillians. After some brief intense political scenes, China sends in aid workers to assist the Americans. After long scenes of rescue and damage control, the Autobots are exhausted and energy levels are low, the Decepticons attack. The US military protects the Autobots as best as they could, then just as defeat is inevitable, the Chinese military moves in with a big ground and air assault and kill all the Decepticons. Final scene: an Amercan and Chinese soldier shakes hands.
They're gonna pull a Human Factor. The businessman dude is going to be put into Megatron's body and serve as a primary antagonist until the 'ancient cybertronian threat' appears.
Maybe he means in the Marvel comics when they have their more human-like original 'God' forms before they go fight on the astral plane and then get stuck in chunks of space metal and later become planet robots. However, I think he's more likely actually suggesting Primus and Unicron are originally humans that later somehow turn into giant planet robots. Which I'm not fond of the idea of at all. Imagine if Sam and Dylan had escalated their final DotM fight into becoming giant planet robots and slugging it out in space above the Earth and Cybertron.
