Yes, he should. He is supposed to be the ultimate evil in the movie-verse (unless they introduce Unicron), the one who actually started the war, and ROTF made him no justice, I want to see his full potential.

The Fallen would have needed more charecter growth in ROTF first.

Not unless you were going to rewrite all of ROTF to make him, y'know, an actually good villain.

He should have been the strongest villain in the franchise Wish he could return in a future movie to redeem himself and really get his revenge

A part of me says yes, while the other is a different story. I DO think that The Fallen should have done way more to survive his encounter with Optimus, such as constantly teleporting/ using telekinesis/ etc... If he had done just that, and went out with a much better death than just getting ripped apart in 30 seconds, I'd had been good.

No, because then we wouldn't have gotten a face-fetish Optimus.

Has everyone forgotten about the Liege Maximo. He is the ultimate evil. He could easily take that place the fallen had ironically failed at!

Liege Maximo hasn't been established to exist in the movieverse.

He went down like a chump, but he didn't really do much of anything in the movie anyway, so no, I don't think he should have survived just by token of being described as such a powerful foe.

Smart and savvy dimensional travelers spend time in reverse timescale dimensions, slow-time dimensions, or dimensions in which time does not move at all. This ensures that even if they are "killed," they continue to exist. As you can see, the idea of sequential experience as you and I understand it is pretty meaningless to guys like the Fallen. He does experience all these things, but his mind operates on a higher order so all of this stuff totally makes sense to him."

-Taken from the TF Wiki article on Multiversal Singularities.

So to those of you who think 4th dimensionally, this basiclly means that since the Fallen spent some time in a Universe wherein Time flows differently, backwards, or not at all, he essentially created a Cosmic backup of himself so that when he dies in the numerous splinter timelines of ROTF and in War Within: The Dark Ages, the version of him that always exists can step out of the Time-Bent universe and keep on going.

I don't think he should have been in the movie in the first place so killing him off gets rid of a blah character before they could make the third film. With Megatron back from the dead we had enough going already.

I don't think he needed to survive the movie, he was the Big Bad of that one movie after all, but I would've liked him to actually put up a fight rather then get his ass severely handed to him within the space of 20 seconds.

I really don't think anyone but TFWiki actually cares about the stupid "Multiversal singularity" crap that Hasbro made up and then quickly forgot about, especially not the writers of any of the series (Movie, IDW, Animated and Prime included).

This was what I was saying for a very long time. Megatron was resurrected so why should there have been a character he was serving anyway? The fact that Megatron was back The Fallen should have been the one calling HIM master instead! He should have just lead the Decepticons until Megatron's return. THAT would have made a better story in my opinion.

By the way this is off topic but anyone else notice how tired and slow Megatron was in DOTM? I mean everyone praises his new mode and form as being 'genius' and 'aesthetically cool' but when you watch the film properly he barely did anything at all in this new form but look like a literal old hobo with a poor bot's shotgun. He walked and sat for almost the whole film! How is that cool?
