He hadn't been properly repaired and his new mode was just cobbled together from what I understand. I believe his reduced speed was meant to reflect that.

 

The relationship between Megatron and The Fallen makes the movieverse unique and emotional.

Of particular interest is the conversation between Megatron and The Fallen on the Nemesis. It seemed to me that The Fallen had withheld information from Megatron up to that point.

 

I'm guessing it would have to come in comic book form. The live action movies seem to have left the topic behind and Hasbro's animation team seems focused on the on going series for The Hub instead of one off animated movies like Marvel and DC have been doing.

 

Well, I mean he did get his arm cut off, got a fusion cannon to the face, and got shot through a brick wall in ROTF. He was weakened yes, but megatron still should be more powerfull regardless.

 

Unique and emotional, how? They were just scheming/plotting to me.

 

Megatron seemed to rely on The Fallen for emotional support. After The Fallen died (and before he met The Fallen, I assume), Megatron was more "beaten".

 

I don't think there's any insinuation that the one was related to the other in the films. It was more like "well, I died, came back, got beaten again... now Im stuck working for auto-spock. Man, Ima go sit in this alley..."
