He's worth forgetting.

The Fallen was given an utterly shit hand in the movie, no way he should have been dealt with as easily as he was IF he was supposed to he as big a deal as hanging a movie around him should have been.

But we all know how that turned out.

So all things considered leave him dead and unmourned in the Bayverse.

If the question is "does it make sense that he is the Big Bad of the movie who gets killed by Not Even The Hero Can Do It Alone" then yes his death makes sense to me. If the question is "should a multiversal singularity survive a face attack in one continuity" then I say he must be alive somehow.
But if you look at the multiversal singularity thing again and wonder if this is really the same guy, that is an even better question. He practically gives his face life to repower a dead Primus Cybertron. Whoa.

The Fallen was the single most wasted potential in the movie franchise. I still can't believe they made him a throw away character.

 

Many more wasted characters where he came from...

 

About half of the trilogy's Autobot cast, to be honest.

 

I'd wager more than half.

 

Both before and after, but none more glaring.

 

Can't we just leave it at the fact that Revenge of the Fallen wasn't the best movie in the world and move on?

 

I actually liked subservient Megatron

 

He didn't appear in DotM, but that doesn't really confirm anything. The Fallen was specifically shown to posess transcendental knowledge pertaining to the Matrix and the Allspark. Specifically, he states that the Allspark can't be destroyed, even though we clearly saw it blown to chunks in the previous film. If he knows how that works, and especially if he's a multiversal singularity, he could possibly survive apparent destruction as well, and could conceivably return in a later sequel.

 

I don't think he can. He was pretty clear about the method of his demise. As a matter of fact he foresaw it happening in a sense and didn't make it sound like something he could just one day wake up from. Why give this character more credit than he is worth? I don't really understand.

 

They ruined that character for me. I thought the Fallen was going to be indestructable so now I don't know how I feel about him.

 

I wonder if a future movie will reveal that The Fallen had a master (not neccesarily Unicron).

 

I could only see Megatron as subservient if another robot had beaten him into submission. Which could have worked for the movie since it would have shown the Fallen as more powerful than Megatron instead of having to wait so long into the movie before seeing The Fallen was powerful.

In the chair I could just see someone like Beast Wars Megatron killing him and saying something snarky about being more powerful than a prime.

 

It's just a change between the G1verse and the movieverse. In a universe where Sentinel is a villain, Megatron can definately be subservient without being beaten into submission.

Am I the only one who wants to see a prequel (even if the average audience doesn't) about how Megatron met The Fallen?
