Please list 10 sci-fi action films that are worse than all three Michael Bay Transformers films.

Is this some sort of joke? Or have you purposely set out to antagonise? We all know what’s going to happen. People will list films they think are worse, and then you will say they are not. Please someone eradicate this transparent, egomaniacal thread before it gets out of hand.

In all seriousness, though, I think this would be relatively easy. I'm not a huge fan of the Bay films, but they aren't that bad.

    Battlefield Earth
    Howard the Duck
Conan the Destroyer (not sure if this counts...)
    Star Wars: Episode 1
    Star Wars: Episode 2
    Star Trek V
    Alien Resurrection
    Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem
    Super Mario Brothers
    Mac and Me

Just off the top of my head.

Look how cute you are trying to stir up the flames.

    In any case:

    Battlefield
Reign of Fire (I HATE that movie)
    Planet of the Apes (remake)
    War of the Worlds (Spielberg)

Other than that, meh I don´t care, these are movies that I went to see to the cinema and felt I wasted my time.

Let's just talk movies that are way worse than Transformers.

    The Twilight Saga
    Scooby-Doo
    The Cat in the Hat
    Catwoman
    Terminator Salvations (BORING!)
    X-Men Origins: Wolverine
    GI Joe: Rise of Cobra
The Odd Life of Timothy Green
    The Phantom Menace
    Jack and Jill
Anything Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg crap out
    ALL MOCKBUSTERS

Not as easy as it sounds huh? Lots of people listing movie that are not sci-fi action.

Anyways, as hard as it is, I could think of (or agree to) a few sci-fi action movies actually worse than the Bay trilogy:

American Warships (A mockbuster that even I could not sit through!)
The Island of Dr. Moreau (most recent remake)
    Planet of the Apes (remake)
    Reign of Fire
    Star Trek V
War of the Worlds (the big budget remake)

Hey, Super Mario Brothers is definitely sci-fi! Watch it if you don't believe me.

I am one of the 5 fans of Ang Lee's Hulk, and I will defend that movie to the death.

    TO.

    THE.

    DEATH.

Lol jk. Seriously though, all this thread is is a spark to start a fire of butthurt fangirls whining about movies they thought were better and creating tension. It's pointless.

I feel like I'm in a very small minority of people who actually likes War of the Worlds.

    Transmorphers franchise.

    I, Robot

    Mac and Me.

    Short Circuit franchise

Probably that Suburban Commando movie with Hulk Hogan that I haven't seen.

    Armageddon

There's a few other ones I could list that are deeply flawed. Objectively worse than Transformers, but I just don't find them as obnoxious. Earnestly bad films that get no respect anyway. With Michael Bay, it's not enough that he makes awful movies, he's just so balls in your face about it.

it was neither bad enough to leave an after taste, nor good enough to be worth remembering. I felt I got my money's worth of entertainment, if not a penny more. It was adequate.

Is this another one of those "if you like the movies you're not a true fan" type of threads? I was hoping we were past all of that.

where did you get that idea?

Anyway, why aspire to true-fanism in the first place. An interest in transformers is just one aspect of who we are. It needn't define us.

I feel that way too. I didn't mind it, but I didn't feel cheated, like I did with The Last Airbender, for example.

Same with Hulk. Same with TFs, actually.

Easy: all 4 Terminator films, the Stallone Judge Dredd, Aliens, Alien Resurrection, Avatar, both Total Recalls, Demolition Man. That's 11. I could go on.

I'm one of the other 4; in fact I prefer it to the version with Ed Norton.

Okay the ones I removed and T3 and T4 I get seeming worse from a broader perspective, but are you seriously postulating that any Transformers film is somehow a superior movie to Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day or Aliens?

    Are you mad?
