Revenge maybe? Someone's pissed off that Megatron's been offed yet again by the Autobots and so plans to take out his anger on Earth and humanity.

Or, maybe they've got some means of converting Earth's fuels to Energon? We probably won't find out until summer next year.

 

I hope this ancient powerful menace is more powerful and menacing than the last ancient powerful menace.

This does not bode well- humans seem to be front and center, which I think bothers me more than I wanted it to. I'll see it of course, but I wanted more robot-on-robot action. You heard me.

 

Don't get your hopes up for Unicron just yet. Knowing Bay's universe, it could be anyone, even a new character maybe.

 

And it'll end with Prime eviscerating his face in some way.

 

Hoping its Galvatron or Overlord. Happy the rumors are starting to circulate. It was always fun to read them and speculate before the movie is actually released.

 

Sounds interesting so far. Humans dabbling in shit they shouldn't and getting themselves in trouble, Autobots to the rescue and ancient bad guy attacks.

The only thing that makes me wary of these kinds of spoilers so early is that, even if Bay himself belives this to be set in stone, things could happen and change it.

 

My money is on this ---^ But probably this:

I have a strong feeling those involved in the movie stuff read boards like this, so if they see Unicron overwhelmingly mentioned they may gently guide the plot away from him and insert some other name or character but in a similar capacity. Hoping they do!

Personally I'd rather the big bad for movie 4 be someone completely out of left field, as a way to re-introduce Megatron somehow. Could be a Galvatron-like threat that eventually becomes Megatron again (or the reverse), which I'd be fine with, but I think if they're setting things up for a new threequel they won't try to bring Megs back in the first of the new movies.

 

In light of the fact that Hasbro cancelled Beast Hunters, I'm wondering if Predaking might make it to the big screen since he was described as an ancient force in Beast Hunters.

Time will only tell!

"Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet." I'm guessing the human population was none too happy that the Autobots allowed the Decepticons to lay waste to Chicago. Can't blame them, of course. I wonder what the 'Bots are up to?

Also, it sounds like it's going to be Unicron as the big bad in the next movie, though I'd kinda like to see someone else.

Even if Unicron is the big bad, you can't have a giant planet/cloud/whatever as your primary antagonist so there will obviously be a herald thing going on. Most likely Galvatron, but who knows? Maybe Bay will ruin Hook, Line and Sinker, that would be interesting to see.

 

Wondering what the Scientists built ?? any chance for a crossover Gundam or Macross ?? That would be awesome... cuz' I bet that Strike Freedom Gundam going to finish them all!!!

 

would be nice if the scientists bring starscream back to life and build him some seekers. they could be servants to this 'ancient being'.

 

With all due respect, I wish people would stop saying this--^ Beast Hunters/Prime isn't being canceled folks. This iteration of TF in cartoon form is being retired and in its place a new cartoon iteration will rise. Canceled implied the show sucked and ratings were poor, which isn't the case. Just give the facts as they are rather than imply doom/gloom is all I'm saying.

 

I can see it now. Humans powering giant robots vs a giant cloud, a-la Galactus from Fantastic 4 movie, Unicron. And then couple shots of Transformers here and there.
