I just saw Mark in Broken City, and while the movie was okay (not one I'd PAY to see, or see again for free, but okay) It struck me how bad Mark Wahlberg is as an actor. He only has about 3 facial expressions and no depth. What do you guys think
The Departed. The Fighter. Ted. Get out. Also, you can't judge an actor off one movie. If I did that, I'd think Leonardo DiCaprio sucks because I saw him first in Romeo + Juliet.

Good actor, as long as he's used in a role that suits him. He was great in the Departed and even the Other Guys in my opinion.
Not every role he's been in has been a great performance, but Marky Mark has developed himself into a legitimate actor, who's capable of good performances, even if only under certain conditions.
Yeah I think he absolutely killed it in the Departed. The final scene of that movie is one of my favorites from any movie out there. He's kind of stuck being the "tough guy" mostly, but that's what he's good at. I liked him in four brothers also. Not that it means much, but Broken City looks to be another rehash of already used up concepts and a cookie cutter script/storyline. Add some actors who must have been bored and felt like doing a movie, and you get another "secret job = double cross= good guy is really bad guy" kind of movie. Haven't seen it yet, but that's just what it looks like from the previews.
Planet of the Apes. The Italian Job. The Departed. Max Payne. Date Night. The Happening. Stop saying 'Get out' when its based almost completely on opinions. Personally i found Ted to be a terrible movie one of the worst pieces of trash to be qualified as a film since 'The Happening' - so please stop insulting others becauase they dont agree. Being completely honest i found most his films seem to be hit and miss with him staring in atleast one terrible film ever two years; The Truth About Charlie (2002) I Heart Huckabees (2004) The Departed (2006) The Happening (2008) Date Night (2010) Contraband (2012) + (Possibly Ted... however noone will agree with me on that...) Anyway, being honest his role in the film will probably be as much as Sam's Parents were... infact i feel he's only being pushed into this film as it'll be easy to advertise him after 'Pain & Gain' and due to the success of 'Ted' In short. I doubt he'll be in Transformers 4 for anything longer than 10 minutes.
Dude, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it. Or I could guess you could do what I do, and say people are wrong. Which is basically what your doing right now.
I thought Ted was a good film, I thought Mark was a bad actor in it. It's always that wide eyed eyebrows up mouth slightly ajar look. Plus Infernal Affairs was much better than The Departed. Departed just added cheese and ruined the ending.
Dude, dudes...I'm not a big fan of MW but I thought he was good in "Four Brothers" along with tyrese. I for one think he will be good in transformers 4
*Cough*Primefanfic*Cough* On topic, I think the man can act decently if given good material. Like Shia Lebouf. I like him a lot, but...well I won't get into that...
Wahlberg can be a good actor. I agree most of his films are hit of miss. I think his overall performance is depending on how good the production of the film is. Seeing bay track record I'm sure wahlberg is going to look bad in tf4.
Marky Mark has a bit of a girly voice, but he was Dirk Diggler. I mean, come on, that's the most epic role ever. Say hello to your mother for me.
I don't say 'get out' often and when I do, I do not mean it as an insult. It's such a common phrase nowadays I'm surprised I offended anyone. I also rarely insult others for having a different opinion. I don't believe 'get out' is an insult anyways.
