DOTM Ark Autobots armored TF2007 Protoforms

Can't believe I just noticed this. The Ark Autobots in DOTM are really armored up Autobot Protoforms. The shoulder pads pop up.

Their alt mode are likely the meteorite form. The pieces that break off upon re-entry are likely not just space detritus but pieces of armor as well.

and the reason the Autobots on the Ark were probably more beefed up than normal Autobot Protos is that those on the Ark were probably Sentinel Prime's Royal Guard.

I think they're entirely different altogether. I can't really spot any matching parts except maybe the fingers and chest.

Well, yes. Theyd be in protoform mode, reasonably, during travel. That's what it was established Autobots travelled through space as. If they needed to bail out, they could then adopt a form that was suited to their needs.

that's one thing i couldn't stand about the movies... am i supposed to believe everybody looked and sounded the same way on cybertron except megatron and shockwave?

Not everyone can become a legend. Especially when it looks like most cybertronians don't live long enough. But yeah, it is sort of a step down from the previous universes where nearly every cybertronian is unique and individualized in terms of aesthetics and personality.

There's a good chance this is true but we can only speculate. Good observation nonetheless.

Wrong. In the comics Sentinel had no guards and he was just in a random group of 'the best of the best' who went on the Ark.
