Most of the physical Allspark was absorbed by Megatron. With exception of that fragment that revived Jetfire. If Jetfire's fragment was not destroyed the Allspark may rebuild from that.
Very true. Also the power is never gone, Just transforms into something different. So who knows. The pen sitting next to me can hold the all mighty power! lol jk
THIS. Or at least make the story, script and characters strong enough that the movie doesn't have to rely so heavily on one (i.e., The Avengers). Yeah, I know that's just a bunch of crazy talk.
We all saw the Matrix reform from dust, so why can't the cube? If this lets us get some more mythology into the films, I'm up for it.
In a Bayformers movie? Are you on the funny water? Yea, but the Autobots aren't interested in reviving Cybertron. The movies have made it perfectly clear that the Autobots have given up.
It's not that they're not interested in reviving it, they just don't want to do it at the cost of others.
Maybe they find this second cube, but it's revealed that it's a fake made by the Decepticons, which turns Optimus evil (Nemesis Prime) or something
All this thread has made me wonder is this... If Sam received the symbols, map etc to locate the harvester, just by touching the shard, why didn't Megatron or Jetfire? Hell, they were revived by the damn things!
“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” ― Albert Einstein So the energy of the Cube was...Transformed? Into what??? or whom?
The energy itself was channeled into Megatron, which in turn killed him. The knowledge was transferred into Sam when he picked up the fragment.
Einstein did not coin the law of conservation of mass/energy. But as Bookworm and Wu Jen stated, it was transferred into Sam in terms of the knowledge (and presumably, "energy") in his head, and to Megatron and Jetfire in terms of the energy that overloaded/killed/ressurrected and energon that repowered them, respectively. And the energy/energon that animated the kitchenbots, I suppose. After ROTF, I imagine the energy re-entered the matrix, at least in part.
I disagree. I don't really know or care what the comics might say, but in the movies, the Autobots express no interest at all in saving Cybertron. They have given up on trying to save Cybertron, which is really surprising, and disappointing coming from the Autobots. Destrroying the Cube, the Sun Harvestor, and the space bridge; they have all be destroyed without hesitation. If Optimus paused for a second before blowing up the harvester, that would be one thing. If Bumblebee and Ratchet hesitated before blowing up the space bridge, it would have added a bit of depth to the characters. But judging by the Autobots actions and lack of remorse over the death of Cybertron, they no longer care. But then again; that's what happens when you have a bad story, writers, and directors.
Did you miss the intro of the first Movie, Chaos? "We scattered across the galaxy, hoping to find it, and rebuild our home." Optimus did desire the Allspark to revive Cybertron, but by the time he's reached Earth, he's come to the conclusion that so long as the Allspark exists, the Decepticons will never stop fighting over it. Great power lures great evil. So they decide it is better to destroy the Cube, and deny the Decepticons their very reason for fighting, and live on Earth. But that didn't work, 'cause Megatron had back-up plans. Why on Earth would Optimus hesitate to destroy the Harvester, a device under the control of a psychotic demigod that destroys entire suns? The Sun is life, and without it, Earth would die. Or hesitate to destroy the pillars, that are under the control of a traitorous delusional God-wannabe who's bringing the planet over to enslave an innocent race and ravage Earth? The Autobots aren't willing to see Cybertron return at the cost of a planet and its lifeforms that by all means should never have been involved in their war in the first place, aren't willing to see it return under Decepticon control. Cybertron is dead, and they aren't going to prioritise a war-torn corpse over their new home.
It depends on your point of view. I don't think it would be, if the Autobots used it, but if the Decepticons used it, they would also use it for their own nefarious purposes, necessitating the destruction of the cube as Meta stated above.
I wonder if it will be similar to the first movie then. I hope so. The lack of robots was disappointing in the first movie but I'm starting to see why so many people prefer it over the other two. On second thought, it could also mean bad news: it'll be a MacGuffin again.
