Why talk about the flaws of the movie so often?

The thing people can't seem to grasp when using the "opinions" card to get away with hating is this:
There's a difference between not liking something and just being a complete jerk about it.
Oh and to the person who compared the movies to Hitler, you disgust me.

If you have a problem with people ripping on something you like in public then you're probably not fit for the internet because all kind of opinions will be there and people WILL use and abuse of shitty hyperbole to talk about it.

That's just how it works. Always been like that. Shit I was called a brain dead ****** for liking Pokemon Red over Blue the other day! it's literally the same damn game!

Whether this post has a legitimate point or if it's just you being a jerk really hangs on your definition of "being a complete jerk about it".

Because people consider them as obnoxious things to complain about.

How am I being the jerk?
Here's what's an appropriate way to state your opinion about something you don't like:
"I don't like so and so because_____*insert non hostile statement*____".

What I have been seeing here, however, are people (usualy the same ones, I mean it's like, we get it, you hate the movies, yet you keep posting here more than the fans, you want a nobel price or something?) comparing the films to a person responsible for the Genocide of millions of jews, homosexuals, dissabled people, etc. Not a pretty way of stating your opinions. I mean, if one is gonna complain about how annoying Sam is or how immature the films are, ya might wanna look in the mirror before you go calling someone else "annoying" or "immature".

You are not helping yourself with wording that tells people how to they're expected to post and sarcastically derides some nebulous "one" in a confrontational manner. Which is ironic, since much of the meat of your actual thesis is sound.

    How does it not help?
I'm simply suggesting posting your opinion in a non-hostile way, and you could avoid a huge sh*tstorm, as opposed to spewing butthurt and repetitive hate over and over again.
I'd say the first option sounds nicer (and healthier).

Because you're posting your opinion about non-hostility in a hostile way, thus undermining your, and it's, legitimacy in the eyes of the reader.

Are you unaware of how statements like

    and

    could be construed as hostile?

I fail to see how thats hostile.
    Hostile would be something like.
"My god you #%~>ers are so d@#n annoying, go £^€¥ your g1 optimus if you're so butthurt".
^That is hostile (and immature, yet I see haters get away with it).
What I originaly said was to let people know how they are coming across to others.

Unfortunately, it IS seen as hostile by others, even if it doesn't mean your standards for the term. I'm not the only one who's pointed this out in this thread. Whether you're meaning to or not, your wording is conveying a contempt, or at least a lack of respect, for the people you're trying to appeal to. To many, that's going to be enough to qualify as "hostile". And especially when the crux of what you're saying is for them to be the opposite of that, well, you're probably not going to be taken seriously.

I should also point out that in your original post, what you said could be interpreted as saying that the people you don't agree with posting their opinions was in some way a trick or an abuse of their posting rights. Probably not the best way to win hearts and minds.

So you're basing this on, what, one post? Have you actually read any others? Plus, he/she wasn't saying the films were as bad as Hitler. Just that you don't stop remind bad things that they're bad. Whether they insult your intelligence or kill millions.
