I like Batman Returns better than the new Batman movies. Something's missing. Long parts of the movies are just boring.

I really think this list is just movies that the rifftrax people have done coverage of, or have personally seen.

Actually they split into 2 groups. Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic.

It is know by Rifftrax fans is that Rifftrax have no love for Micheal Bay movies.

In my opinion, Billy Madison is terrible...along with about 90% of the other Adam Sandler movies.

But definitely agree, Forrest Gump is a great movie

While I know a few folks that absolutely hated the movies... I can't see this really being worst of all time.

Course... this list lacks A LOT of horrible movies that should be on here... so meh.

(I mean no Jason in Space, no Gangsta Leprechaun? IDC what the proper titles were... oh how about Human Centipede? Holy crap that one's awful in soooo many ways.)

If by "the Titanic" you mean the 1997 James Cameron movie, you should go crawl in a hole and never come out. That movie is heralded as one of the greatest movies of all time up there with Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, and 2001: A Space Odyssey, in story, visual achievement, marketability, and sheer size. To this day, it remains as one of the most expensive and time-consuming movies ever made, and has a 4-star, or very near so, rating from pretty much any critic who has ever seen it.

It may not be your cup of tea, but it's absolutely not deserving of being a list of worst movies of all time.

Unless, I'm sorry did you confuse the title with "Riff Tracks nominates Transformers for the best movies of all time?"

I heart Huckabees and Vanilla Sky both deserve a place on that internet list for crimes against humanity. I also think loads of those of terrible films featuring ex members of the cast of friends (I know there are one or two good ones but still). I think the reason these post friends monstrosities didn't was because they are all so forgettable that they didn't even create hate.

If I'm honest revenge of the fallen probably deserves its place, the the other two transformers films are competent.

Some rubbish films can be soo bad that they become accidental comedy gold, I have watched the likes of The Room, Boxing Helena, Cyber Seduction (If you haven't already youtube that as its hilarious) and Showgirls way more times than I have watched some critically acclaimed films

Well so what it's Rifftrax's opinion.

though Forest Gump is a great movie. If not Tom Hanks finest role.

Perhaps it was meant as some sort of joke? They did throw in Plan 9 from Outer Space and that's considered the cult classic in the category of so bad it's wonderful in an unintended way.

Titanic is one of the worst movies ever. It is essentially a love-story film. The characters are stereotypical and one dimensional and the sheer fact that they invented up a stupid love-story and characters that did not exist is pure rage enducing. Lets not forget that they also insulted those who died by misrepresenting them - presenting many people who actually helped as assholes. If you want to watch Titanic as a film watch 'A Night to Remember (1958 film)' it is so much more accurate. Also the whole - leaving the third class passengers to die is NOT WHAT HAPPENED. As the ship sunk they were all released, except for those who could not be reached in time.

As for 2001; a space odessey... almost 90% of the film is stupid background shots of the ship moving in space, animals or just people walking. How anyone can view that as a good film is just idiotic. It is one of the worst films ever, infact if you want a reasonable film watch the sequel - 2010: The Year We Make Contact - which was panned as a terrible film despite having no problems with pointless scenes of things not moving.

As for 'gone with the wind' and 'casablanca' i cannot speak for as i have not seen them. On the other two films, you are completely wrong. The films were heavily over-rated.

Anyone claiming Forrest Gump is great should think again:

Yes, Forrest had an interesting life where he caught more lucky breaks than anyone should have a right to. However, he was also in love with a girl that rebuffed his every advance, took advantage of him, and only decided she was in love with him once she realized she had AIDS. I'm sure it helped that by that time Forrest was a gozillionare, and he could afford to pay for her care until she died. So...while my parents loved it and thought it was great, I was much more cynical and would have preferred to see a good movie like Pulp Fiction take the Best Picture award that year. But, hey, if it makes millions of people cry...it MUST be good.

And seriously, Titanic? 3 hours of my life I can't get back. That movie is only good for MST3K sessions.... Again, just because it made your girlfriend cry doesn't make it good. Titanic is up there with Pearl Harbor for time wasting.

2001: Space Odyssey - that was a pretty good pic, but you should probably read the book first. I didn't like it much until after reading the book and knowing what was going on, and then it was much better. Plus, you pretty much have to like the way Stanley Kubrick directs things - if you're not a fan, you probably will not find much to like.

Obviously, you've never seen Bachelor Party. Or Splash. Now, those were good Tom Hanks movies. He started going downhill right about the time of Joe vs. The Volcano, but redeemed himself with Saving Private Ryan and the Polar Express.

    Scorpio,
Just stop yourself, you're making a fool out of yourself, it's a cult classics Sci-fi movie that defined the Genre, just because it isn't constant action doesn't mean the dialog doesn't move the story forward.

I'm pretty sure that was intentional. It always struck me as sort of a Parzival meets American History sort of tale, where Forrest represents a lot of simple ideals that don't always seem to work in the real world, but that, through fate or faith or perseverance or good nature or whatever, triumph anyway, even if not as intended. Their relationship is definitely one-sided for the most part, but Jenny herself is something of a sympathetic character, shaped by her circumstances just as Forrest was, but with less good fortune and loving friends along the way. She's sort of the opposite side of the coin to him.

Also, how did you not mention Philadelphia?! That's the film that really brought his career back, I think.

    ^ Don't forget Toy Story.

I loved Forrest Gump personally, and the warm reaction I get in a conversation if I bring it up in indicates that not many people truly think it was the worst film ever. Forrest Gump or 2001 of all films? Really? What were these guys smoking? As for Transformers, they're clearly still trying to keep the Bay-hate alive, which got old a long time ago, regardless of the quality of the films. This is the equivalent of a member posting a new thread - "List what you hated about ROTF."
