Yeah, I don't think she has enough rabid fans to make a statistically noticable bump in that regard.

Pft, the movies are on the same quality level (READ: none whatsoever) with the Sunbow cartoon, only the movies have dick and fart jokes and more overt raci-

Some movies I agree are bad on that list, but there are several on that list that are actually really good movies. So, this is a bad survey in my opinion.

Technically what the Asylum are doing is illegal and films voted as 'worst movies' are often watched by people to see just how bad they are.

Nothing clears your mind of crappy two dimensional characters like an adventure with YOUNG REBEL ROBOT, OLD ROBOT, GIRL ROBOT, and who can forget ANNOYING CHILD ROBOT.

That's kind of the problem with the films. With the Sunbow cartoon you can at least say well it's a shoestring budget and rushing something out the door because they had just made it legal for cartoons to be a 22 minute commercial for toys. Looking at the other cartoons at the time like GI Joe or He Man it seems like Transformers was just par for the course in the cartoon commercial category.

The live action movies had a nice big budget, one of Hollywood's best special effects houses, and a small army of talented people working on the films. With all that you'd expect something along the lines of a Dark Knight, the good Spiderman films, or an Avengers instead of the low quality of an 80's cartoon series.

This. All of this. Other than nostalgia (i guess, for people around that time) the cartoon was jank and the movie--2 hours of 'hey, kiss your favorite characters goodbye, here's some new guys to like'...but ah well =/

I find it hard to take any list of "Worst Movies of All Time" seriously if it includes Star Trek VI. I mean... really? The Final Frontier I can understand but The Undiscovered Country? Not Insurrection or Nemesis (if you absolutely had to pick another Trek film)?

You know, I could say the same thing about ardent G1 defenders but I'd rather attack the media, not the people who happen to like something I don't.

On the contrary, the films clearly reflect their budget and special effects talent. It's the writing and direction where they falter. Money won't automatically buy you that kind of talent and it's a bit naive to think otherwise.

Furthermore, it's understandable why the original cartoon was so weak in terms of writing, character, etc. but that doesn't make it permissible. A good writer can do a lot with a shoestring budget and limited time if they actually care about the product they're making. It seems to me that what you're arguing is essentially: "It was the '80's. That's just what cartoons were like back then," and while true it's just as weak an excuse as the old "you're meant to turn off your brain, munch popcorn, and enjoy them for what they are," excuse used to defend the movies.

So, nothing clears one's mind of crappy two dimensional characters than a cartoon full of equally crappy two dimensional characters, amirite? ;)

Goddammit, you forgot CYNICAL ROBOT, ROBOT ON COCAINE and INCOMPETANT MIDDLE-MANAGER ROBOT. Possibly ROBOTS WITH MENTAL DEVELOPMENT ISSUES. Be accurate, man, they're like, the best ones!

Two things: 1. The Dark Knight is overrated and honestly kind of dull, and 2. having a big budget and good special effects doesn't mean squat if it's a franchise no director wants to touch because it's a toyline. Hell, Bay didn't want to make it at first - that's how stupid most directors thought the project was, since it was just a toy commercial to them.

The First and Third Transformers were actually okay. I understand why RotF is on there, but those two?

The first movie was actually really good, actually. It benefits from having a smaller cast of characters than the other movies. I never really felt like any characters were pointless like with ROTF or DOTM.

All the movies were actually entertaining. There were parts in all of the movies I enjoyed, and you can't deny that those special effects are amazing. DOTM was my favourite movie visually, because to handle all the 3D and make the movie pop off the screen they had to zoom out further and show the characters battling more clearly, which was quite nice.

The critics rated DOTM as badly as ROTF, probably because they still hadn't taken off their hate goggles for the last movie. I'm sure even in the fourth movie is a masterpiece it will be panned universally by critics simply because it's a bandwagon they like to jump on.

I'm sure one day we will get a serious Transformers movie. DOTM came very close, but it still had some parts that just seriously ripped me out of the movie and the flow of the action.

Just about the o0nly thing I really liked in the movie was their take on the Joker. I liked it when I first saw it, but now I think it's just an okay film.

Personally, I still think Mask of the Phantasm is the best Batman movie we got, but that's because I'm kind of biased towards the DCAU's take on Batman.
