I actually liked Wheelie and Brains in the third film too. They toned him down a bit and made him useful. Should've been named a different character though. Can't think of any really smart-ass Autobot replacements though.

Now if they had used one of the Decepticon headmaster/targetmaster names from Rebirth, that would've made more sense. But that would've required a better knowledge of the characters.

TF4 should be a buddy film about him and Brains opening up a firm and become private investigators.

That said, Wheelie wasn't the most terrible thing about the movies. I could have done without the leg-humping scene in the second one and I'd like to meet whoever decided they needed to spend money on that and punch them. I like his sass in ROTF, and it was cool to see the little guys get to do something useful.

 

I love both Wheelie and Brains. I could do without the leg humping though. I don't understand why any rational writer would think that was a good idea.
