Well, I was thinking there wouldn't be any robots at all. Not even the Transtector kind.

Although I personally would kinda like a live-action Masterforce. As long as it's upfront about it.

Why even have Decepticons at all. Have them fight the Renegades. Or My Little Pony! SMH, what's happened to the fandom...

If we went with that idea, then we'd miss out on some wicked Decepticon character designs.

As much as I love the idea of Decepticons in human skin, humanity getting fully involved in the Cybertronian civil war as opposed to getting in the way (or at most helping Optimus's group), what Optimus would do if the race he sacrificed his home for turned on him, and seeing who OP would be without Megatron... I still want the Decepticons to be the main villains. Have the Cons get their own NEST-type allies (i.e. an evolution of the alliance with Dylan) would be cool, but the Cons are too classic a villainous faction to be replaced entirely by mundane humans with knock-off transformers.

So we can have more humans in a movie series hardly about Transformers at this point? Interesting. Here's a crazy idea, how about they make a movie with NO HUMANS at all ala War/Fall of Cybertron?! Geewhiz I think I forgot to take my meds today!! Rush me to the looney bin nowz or I'm start getting other crazy ideas like that and find the cure for cancer or something!

While "mature" entirely-CGI narratives have thrived in video games, in cinema fully-animated/effects features still carry a "for kids" stigma, which would likely skew things away from the target demographics into an area Hasbro likely feels is already covered with other media forms. It's ironic, true, considering how many popular films (transformers included) are effects driven, almost to the point of being their majority content, but there's still that human element onscreen.

I don't think this thread was intended to troll. I think it was a legitimate suggestion about a TF4 plot. Decepticons should be though the main villains in any TF universe. Besides, DOTM kind of handled the whole human villain concept. That’s not to say the couldn’t do it again, it is just best plot wise, in my opinion, to stick with cons for the time being.

How about a reinvention of the Decepticon faction? Like G2 led by Jhiaxus.

Woah, bit much calling this a troll thread.........

Thought this would be an interesting element if TF4 didn't have Decepticons.....

It'd solve Hasbro's issue of Decepticons not selling well and maybe be more resources into doing Autobot CGI models and animation.

It also helps the narrative and story progress from where Dark of the Moon left off, considering it ended right when the battle ended and we didn't really see what happened the days or months afterwards.

Why not instead of just Decepticons, there is a group of humans the 'Cons have 'upgraded' with their technology? These humans (or rather cyborgs) would be loyal to the 'Cons, since they have been promised 'immortality.'

Wouldn't even have to be augmentation, just give them powered armor or drone equipment, or even just upgraded weapons or munitions while the Decepticons stay behind the scenes until the big reveal at the end.

Yes. The other half is a 4. Hopefully that represents the number of humans in it.

There definitely is some potential for that. And depending on how they handled it, it could be really cool. Or it could be really awful.

I'm going to whore out my personal idea that some of you may recall me spamming before. :p

And for those saying "They've already done human villains in", remember the one, tiny, important detail: THEY'VE DONE ONE HUMAN-RELATED ANTAGONIST PERSPECTIVE. Saying that they can't do human villains in TF4 because they've already touched on a similar subject in DotM is like saying that none of the Avengers sequels or MCU sequels can deal with alien races because Avengers already did it. "They want to include an alien Fin Fang Foom or Kang or Thanos? They can't do that! They've already done alien villains in the form of the Chitauri!"

"Human villain" =/= Dylan and only Dylan. What has Dylan offered as a human villain? A suave, playboy rich car enthusiast who uses his wealth and possessions to get what he wants when it's finally revealed that he's not all he says he is. That's one type of "human villain". What else could they do? They could do a corrupt government operative (moreso than Galloway or Mearing who were just dicks) who truly wants to get rid of the Autobots. They could do a MECH-styled terrorist group; technology focused and creating anti-Cybertronian weapons a la IDW. Heck, go even further and have said anti-Cybertronian weapons be in the hands of the general public. A secret evil government group who creates giant robo-suits to fight the Autobots? What are the Autobots and Optimus going to do when "the enemy" is now the people he fought to protect? No way he's going to slaughter humans. They could play with that idea; Prime can't do anything about the threat. They'd have no choice but to stand down. (Hence why my idea included at least a few 'Cons).

    Pretty much agreed entirely here.

Well I suppose that could work. Considering how much of a threat the humans are to the Decepticons; they'll make sort work of the Autobots.
Maybe humans are the natural predators of Bayformers?
