Man if there’s one bot I want to see more than any other it’s Battletrap. Having him as a Duocon would make him an amazing addition to the action sequences of the film, as well as make him stand out from the rest of the cast in both height and uniqueness.
OK so, I know it was brought up recently, but is this thread now just non-official fun projects rendering progress pics? Up until recently it was only official sources, and I think we should maybe keep it to that. Some fan projects are amazing, but now there's some random and inaccurate stuff as well. I use this thread as a reference a lot of the time for projects and such.
As long as it’s CGI renders that are movie accurate I think it’s fine personally. I’d agree that it could become a slippery slope though.
Yeah I can agree to that. As long as it’s movie accurate and not WIP I am OK with it. Really love and appreciate your work dude I just don’t think this is the place for anything that’s in-progress or fan made and not accurate.
Do you think maybe a fan-made only CGI rending thread should be made? That way we still have both at the ready.
That's a bit confusing. Never heard of it. Nor seen it. It's basically behind God's back (as we say here in my country) If you ask me, it should be here in the movie threads.
Not really though. The movie threads are for movie discussion, which will inevitably include official imagery and the discussion thereof, but the fan-art section is for board members to share their own work, even if it is 100% accurate to so etching official. I know I've posted the odd image in a couple of the threads, but they're originally in the fan-art forum.
I'm not opposed to renders on par with the films. Like character models of charactera that aren't on-screen much are welcomed. Like this scrapper for instance by @careu Here's an old one I'd like a larger version of someday.
Since he is accurate to the movie vehicle, and spent a sh*t load of time with it, Imma post this here.
