also gotta love how they used slightly different versions of the same mold for Ratchet and Ironhide. Wait... So is he turning again into the Topkick? Was there a 1980's C4500???

 

The G1 Featurette shows some of the models rotating, including the Pyramid fighters from Cybertron and Shockwave.

 

No, they're just references to previous versions. Like how Arcee is listed as a spider, and Shockwave as a Mazda.

I really want to see the tetra-jets clearly.

Can't wait to pick this up on bluray.

It’s a darn shame that Ironhide and Ratchet share body types.  And Arcee’s face is even creepier.  Hopefully her newborn isn’t that hideous.

Very much akin to the brilliant Tech Inspector extra on the old 2007 movie special edition Blu-ray. I was disappointed that they never provided a similar feature on home media for the sequels, so for this to be available for fans of the new movie is excellent.

 

That's really interesting to see. Looks like very early exploration. Like they took one of the Bay models, removed the camaro bits, then chopped up some Bug bits to see how they might fit. The base model is still very much Bay's. I like the final movie result significantly more but this is still fun to see.

Is this from an official source or from a magazine or something? Could even be a photoshop for a magazine promo.

 

This is the prequel they were trying to make as part of "The Secret History of the Transformers," but that's so goddamn dumb. This isn't like Ancient Egypt. This is only half a century ago. You can't have Transformers running through the battlefield with no public knowledge of the "secret."

Visually, though, I like the WWII imagery. If they made the WWII movie standalone from an alternate timeline where it's NOT a secret, that'd be great. The fact that it's an alternate history means you don't know how the war's going to go, and you also don't have to be distracted by stupid historical inaccuracies that Michael Bay movies keep pushing.
