if tformers are made of metal how come no one ever considered making rust weapons? Besides Sentinel of course.

 

Maybe the Autobots did not know that Sentinel had a rust cannon or there's only one rust cannon in existence and it belongs to Sentinel Prime.

 

Maybe because it was hard to use or use safely? Maybe because they'd only work in certain environments? Maybe because they'd have short range or a long reload time or be too heavy? Maybe because there's armor or shielding that would render them ineffective (If he'd been ALUMINUMHIDE he'd have been fine!)? Maybe they're too resource-intensive to make or maintain? Maybe they go against some kind of code of conduct or cultural taboo?

Lots of potential reasons.

 

Im talking about humans too. We already have rust n a can so why not turn it into a weapon? Plus Sentinel's did seem automatic. It might not be that hard.

 

because they cant, sentinal was the einstein of them, as they said, and they all though he was dead for so long, do you really think optimus or bee could make a rust weapon? he cant even fix his voicebox..

 

Well Que is highly intelligent. He probably couldve made a rust weapon of some sort if he wanted to.

 

Yeah, and if he did, say hello to another one of many weapons in Prime's gigantic armory trailer.

 

That would then lead me to my next to say, why does he even need more weapons!!! 

 

Sword, shield, rust gun... Sentinel has it all!

 

Yet despite all those weapons megatron still beats the crap out of him in less than 30 seconds.

 

Could be it's just not feasible with human industrial technology. The humans were sporting machine guns, not plasma rifles, after all.

Oxidation is a pretty slow process with many metals on earth.

 

Really? Not to be mean toeards any Ironhide fans, it did not seem slow on him.

It was definitely not a normal corrosion process that killed Ironhide. Hell, even the strongest acids known to man won't eat metal that fast.

Think of how long it takes cars and boats to rust.
