Because surely the safest thing to do was to steal the key to the doom thing, walk a mile away from the doom thing, lay on top of the key, and die. Yes, the chances were slim to none that the fallen would look under the only pile of dead Autobots on the whole planet. It certainly would have been too risky to:
-Cheebs
*Only cover the key with 1 dead body. *Cover the key with still living bodies. *Cover the key with literally anything else at all. *Just try to take the asshole down using the 12 to 1 advantage they had. *Disassemble the sun collector. *Disassemble the sun collector while the Fallen was sleeping and put it back together in literally any other solar system, surprise him with it, go out for some beers and patch the whole mess up. But doing any of the above would not have put the 12 Primes in robot heaven. Then when Sam died they could not have shown him how to leave robot heaven to return to Earth. And it was vitally important that Sam return to Earth, because who other than Sam could bring Optimus from robot heaven back to earth? Optimus is just a Prime. How could he possibly know the way out of robot heaven without Sam's help? |

The only interesting idea was the (Not mentioned) Chernobyl disaster which Shockwave caused. Check out my Transformers blog (Over 22,000 views) |

Megatron being the forefather of dangerous tech makes for a great concept and twist (they could have had him be active and head to Earth with the rest of the Decepticons, but it turned out better this way). And the ROTF idea of Seekers hiding out on Earth from ancient times is also a great concept of tying Transformers to Earth (in keeping with similar themes in films like PROMETHEUS and THOR). The third one, not so much. It's too much of retcon (Soundwave appearing in the 1970s) and fallback (the plan to revive Sentinel would ONLY have worked if the Ark had made it to the Moon) and it has an oversight of Cons waiting on the Moon when they could wait easily on Earth. |

Don't even try defending the logic of this one. You know what is also unrecognizable from sand and can also be used to cover the Matrix? More sand. | |
